Dorothy Kelly, who is the guest speaker at the Sevier County Heritage Museum on Sunday, January 27, at 1:30 p.m., has given me more information about her topic. She will discuss the Battle of Fair Garden, Longstreet's campaign through the area, and the Strawberry Plains Bridge Burners -- most of whom were from Sevier County. The Bridge Burners are a favorite topic among Civil War historians in this area. Ms. Kelly will have handouts available for the audience members to continue research on these subjects.
