Be sure to mark your calendars for March 1! The Knoxville Welsh Society announces its 136th St. David's Day celebration on Friday, March 1, 2002, at St. John's Lutheran Church parish hall, 544 North Broadway, Knoxville. In addition to the usual chatting, food, and festivities, our evening will include a program by Farr Horizons, a Celtic ensemble headed by Elizabeth Farr. Ms. Farr is an outstanding harpist who is renowned throughout the southeastern U. S. If you live in East Tennessee, which is the area covered by KWS, odds are good that you have at least one Welsh ancestor. Even if you don't, you have deep Celtic roots -- and THAT should motivate you to attend. We are also proud to welcome those few poor souls <g> who don't have any recognizable Celtic blood! Please mark your calendars now so you won't miss this sure-to-be tremendous event...and help us spread the word!
