She died 8 June 1870 in Walden's Creek. She was married to James William Holt who owned a store in Walden's Creek and later in Wear's Cove. I guess she is not listed in the book.

It was not fenced. To reach the cemetery, drive 3.3 miles from the intersection of US411 and State Route 66 toward Newport from Sevierville, turn right onto old US411, drive 2.7 miles, turn right onto Jones Cove Road, drive 1.5 miles, take the right fork in the road, drive 0.5 miles. The cemetery is located near the edge of the road on the right. It is located across the road from Henry #2 Cemetery. Hopes this helps. OD means that the transcriber found only one date and does not know if it is a birth or death date. There were no Holts for Walden's Creek Cemetery and this is the only Jane listed in the book.

Hi all, HUSKEY WALKER HATCHER TROTTER MYERS - Sevier, Blount and maybe Jefferson Co. Tennessee. I have a possible gg grandfather whom might have been a WALKER but it's a great mystery here. I'm going to toss around some info I have and maybe, maybe someone out here can help me or just point me in the right direction as I do my own research and would never ask anyone to do it for me. I'm ready to start a writing campaign again, maybe this time if I try again, someone will help. Hettie Caroline HUSKEY my great grandmother, born 1889 Wears Valley, Sevier Co. TN. She died MARCH 27, 1989 and is buried in Wears Valley, Shiloh Cemetery. She was m. to my g-grandfather Andy MYERS. They once owned property later known as the Lil Ponderosa after Hettie sold the land. She had a sister named Ticy HUSKEY whom might be the one m. to John TROTTER. Ticy was born in 1884 Sevier. Both Hettie and Ticy's father is UNKNOWN to me but her mother did consort with a WALKER per family knowledge. No one will tell me anything about her father. Especially my fathers side though they don't know themselves they (meaning my father and his sisters) were not raised in Sevier as their father, my late grandfather left Sevier at a young age. His name was Ollie Jake "Big Chief" MYERS and though I only met him 1 time, well... I sure liked my materal grandfather better. There... LOL I said it. Ollie reportedly got a 1st cousin in trouble. Her name was Lela or Anna MARINE. That's all I know on that end. He went on to marry my paternal grandmother Sara GARRETT down in Hiawasee, Towns Co GA. Hettie had a 1/2 brother whom she was very close with. His name was Harve L. WALKER Sr. b 1884 d June 1969, Sevier, TN. I do know that there is a Harve Jr. and he works at a hardware store in either Sevierville or Pigeon Forge, Sevier Co TN and have spoke w/him by phone but have since lost his number. He remembered my great grandmother Hettie and said she and his father were very close. Harve L. might have had a brother named M. Wesley WALKER of Sevier m. to a Rachel EMERT. It is unknown to me who Harve L. SR. married but I have children: Harve L. Jr., Bob, Ted and a Jim WALKER. Maybe they're all alive still and would like to contact them as maybe they can tell me who Hettie and Ticy's father was. Sevierville Records only have Martha HUSKEY recorded as marrying John Frank WALKER buried at Headricks Cemetery in Sevier. Parents were William Marion WALKER and Nancy Louise CAYLOR <--- maybe. Paper trail thins out from Sevier's 2 fires in 1850's. I am also told that Hettie worked cleaning a bank somewhere in Sevierville or Pigeon Forge. Would like to know which town it was. I also understand that she and Andy went their separate ways twice and she lived in the Mill Creek area of TN. Hettie's mother was Elizabeth HUSKEY. Known as "Betty" by my family and I'll assume in Sevier County, TN. Betty, what it appears was never married but family seems to think she did marry Harve L.'s father whom appears to be John Frank WALKER. The only marriage license I can find has a Martha HUSKEY named on it. Elizabeth "Betty" HUSKEY was the dau of Lewis HUSKEY and Hulda T. HATCHER. Census shows they raised Hettie and her sister Ticy HUSKEY. What makes this such a mystery is that obviously Harve L. WALKER and Hettie HUSKEY were 1/2 brother/sister so different mother or father??? I assume father. Then who was Hettie and Ticy's father....??? In a photo of Hettie as a child, she was very pretty with long dark hair and in my opinion she was a Native American blood as she's rather dark in this photo. I've even thought she had African American in her. There is a bit of a secret here and if she was black it's ok with me. I love all of my people and no barriers but would like to know where I come from and who I am. About 3 years ago a black WALKER researcher contacted me and made mention that we appeared to have the same lineage but she scoffed it off mentioning because I was white and she was black. My computer crashed and I lost her email address and totally forgot her name but she was a WALKER or aligned with the from Blount and or Sevier Co. TN. if she's out here on the WALKER or TN SEVIER board, maybe she'll remember me. And yes, please write me. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Chrystie, ROOTSWEB LIST ADMIN. Hi All! I just joined-in and wish to post my lineage w/hopes that someone out here is connected to me! Here goes: Self, Great Grand-daughter of: Hettie Caroline HUSKEY & Andrew Jackson "Little Andy" MYERS (Most of their lives spent in Little Cove, Sevier CO. TN Little Andy died in Knoxville, Hettie in Mill Creek, Sevier, TN) Little Andy MYERS, son of Pleasant Andrew MYERS and Sara Jane MCCLURE >From Sevier County, TN and lived in Elkmont, Blount Co., TN Foothills of Smokies. Pleas, son of James Napoleon MYERS and Margaret Caroline LINDSEY Margaret, born 1846 April in what I believe was Jefferson Co., TN She died in Sevier County, TN in 1926 of a flu-like epedemic. Napoleon died in 1894 and 2 years later Margaret remarries to Noah HAWORTH/HAYWORTH; she again remarries to Reverand Evan HURST and they are reportedly buried at HURST Chapel Cemetery in Sevier Co. TN. Evan, son of Sevier and Martha HURST. Another well documented line. Margaret, dau of John Andrew "Andy" MYERS (SR.) & Mary Elizabeth ROBERTS I know Mary's lineage as she somes from the very well documented lines of ROBERTS EMERT'S of Emerts Co, Sevier Co. TN But John Andrew LINDSEY is sketchy. I believe that they might have been LINDSAY / LINZY as it does appear as such in census and other various documents as oft as I see LINDS(E)Y. Are their 2 distinct lines of LINDSAY/LINDSEY'S with a Jesse LINDSAY/LINDSEY involved during the same era? Jesse b abt 1787. I can tell you that Margaret's father does remarry sometime aft 1850 to Mary Polly HUSKEY whom I have married prior to a Joel LINDSEY, as well. Mary Elizabeth (ROBERTS), Margaret's mother appears in census records most times alone living with Margaret and James Napoleon MYRES/MYERS Sevier CO. TN. And I do have Mary Polly HUSKEY and said "Andy" LINDSEY buried at the LINDSEY Cemetery inside of the Smoky Nat'l Park. Some have him as the son of Salina(h) IVY and Jesse LINDSAY but I dunno. A will has surfaced from Sevier CO. TN of Jesse's will clearly showing Andy, with daughter Margaret and husband Napoleon as Jesse's brother. Next interesting "new" brick-wall is that this will also shows Napoleon with bastard child "Salina HAYWORTH/HAWORTH" great <---- who is she? Does this look familiar to anyone out here? Thanks graciously for allowing me to intrude on your boards as my hands are tired of writing to libraries, etc for help, and cannot at this time get in my car and get there myself, or you can bet I would be digging up anything I could get my hands on. Sincerely, -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Chrystie, ROOTSWEB LIST ADMIN. BROOKOVER COWGER KRABAL MAJOR MAYERS MOYERS MYRES

Hello everyone. Does anyone have time to do a lookup for me on John C. Ferguson . I need a marriage record to Donnie McDonald Phillips about 1927. He was born in Sevier County so there might be an obit. He died April 11, 1932. Grateful for any crumb of information. Fran Murphy

George Layman was also married to Sarah Byrd and they had 6 children. George Layman is buried in the Fox Cemetery in Sevier Co., TN, so perhaps Annie & Dora grew up in the same county?
