Shaffer, of Oak Ridge, ===================================== Myrtle Begley Burbage, 74, of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at NHC HealthCare of Oak Ridge. Born Sept. 4, 1928, in Kildav, Ky., she was the daughter of George and Gertrude Mae Partin Begley, both now deceased. Mrs. Burbage retired in 1993 from The Oak Ridger where she was head of the classified advertising department. She was a member of Centennial Baptist Church in Bell County, Ky. She was also a member and past officer of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 390 and a Kentucky Colonel. The family says she loved to travel and she and her husband were regulars of the bingo games at the Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Phillip Begley and Bill Begley, and by three brothers-in-law, Boyd Thompson, Ed Stooksbury and Cecil Morris. Mrs. Burbage is survived by her husband, Charles Henry Burbage; two step-daughters, Chalice Burbage and Debelain Jefferson and her husband, Paul, all of Rouses Point, N.Y.; a brother, Douglas Begley and wife, Mary, of Madisonville; and by three sisters, Winnifred Thompson of Oak Ridge, Sue Stooksbury of Clinton, and Frances Morris of Pineville, Ky. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Loretta Begley of Dayton, Ohio, Emma Bell Burbage and friend, Jerry, and Elmyra Morrison and husband, David, all of the Birmingham, Ala. area; a brother-in-law , Bill Burbage and wife Ruth, of the Birmingham area; and by several nieces and nephews, whom the family says she considered as her own children. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Bill Mooney officiating. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bill G. Begley, Douglas E. Begley, John Cord Dotson, Matthew Smith, Mike Wilds, Thom Smith, Roger Dotson and Joshua Wilds. Honorary Pallbearers will be her co-workers from The Oak Ridger. The family requests that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association, P.O. Box 190612, Nashville, TN 37219-0612. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Weatherford Mortuary. Marian Lucille Wier Miracle, 59, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born Sept. 7, 1943, in Jacksboro, she was the daughter of Charlie and Marian Hatmaker Wier, both now deceased. She was an employee at the Wal-Mart photo lab for five years. She is a former resident of Lowell, Ind., and an employee of Harvey Mart Department Store. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Wier and her mother-in-law Meldren C. Miracle. Mrs. Miracle is survived by her husband of 42 years, Larry K. Miracle; three daughters, Cheryl Wilson and husband, Michael, Renee Huseman and husband, Kevin, and Robin Kueck and husband, Randy, all of Lowell; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters; and her father-in-law, Claude T. Miracle. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2003, in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Thomas officiating. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mary Louise "Betsey" Burkhart Hutton, 83, of Kingston, died Sunday, May 11, 2003, at the home of her son, Philip Hutton, in Louisville. Mrs. Hutton had lived with her son and his family since the fall of 2001. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harriman, and her family said her quiet, gentle and loving spirit was a blessing to everyone whose life she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Charles Hutton, and two sons, Michael Fred Hutton and James Lewis Hutton. In addition to her son, Philip, and his wife, Diane Glass Hutton, Mrs. Hutton is survived by four other sons, Gerald Hutton and John Thomas Hutton and his wife, Catharine Asmah Hutton, all of Oak Ridge, Anthony Charles Hutton and his wife, Judy McNamer Hutton, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Robert Edward Hutton and his wife, Patricia, of Knoxville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Naomi Louise Ajiku Hutton Hickerson and her husband, Shawn, Rebekah Jane Odamea Hutton, Susanna Betty Anakwa Hutton, Carla Noel Hutton and her husband, David Faris, Zachary Michael Hutton, Zoe Elaine Hutton, Robert Edward Hutton II, Jacob Eli Hutton, John William Hutton, James Louis Hutton and Charles Edward Hutton; and by her great-grandson, Preston Alexander Hickerson. A graveside service was Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at Kingston Memorial Gardens. Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston was in charge of arrangements. Margaret Virginia Wright, 79, of Clinton, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born Dec. 3, 1923, in Knox County, she was the daughter of Edward and Maude Richards Wheeler. She attended Clinton First Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Wright, and her brother, J.D. Wheeler. Mrs. Wright is survived by a daughter and two sons, Margarete Bunch and husband, W.L., of Jonesboro, Ga., Glen Wright and wife, Glenna, of Clinton, and Bill Wright Jr. and wife, Melinda, of Clinton; a sister, Marvell Webber of Clinton; four sisters-in-law, June Wright, Ruth Zenner and husband, Don, all of Clinton, Johnnie Hoskins of Knoxville and Grace Overton of LaFollette; a brother-in-law, Bobby Wright and wife, Lois, of Kettering, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2003, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Samuel Condon and the Rev. Troy Keaton officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Bakers Forge Cemetery in LaFollette. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Paul J. Shaffer, of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at his home.
