>From The Knoxville News Sentinel 23 May 2003 BLEVINS, ARCHIE B. - of Clinton, PEEL, NAOMI SHECKLES - age 83, of LaFollette, RIDENOUR, ALICE RUTH - age 80, of Clinton, ===================================== BLEVINS, ARCHIE B. - of Clinton, passed away May 21, 2003 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born in Whitetop, Grayson County, Virginia on September 6, 1916. In 1954 he moved his family to Oak Ridge where he and his wife reared their three daughters. In 1979, he retired from the Y-12 Plant after 25 years of service. He was a long-time member of Glenwood Baptist Church. He had a life-long interest in genealogy and began researching his family history in the 1950's. A database of more than 100,000 descendants of his great-grandparents, James and Lydia Sizemore Blevins, has been built on his more than 40 years of research. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Irene David Blevins; sister, Levon Kasper of Eggleston, Virginia; daughters, Linda Killion, Carol Morrison and Wanda Olson of Clinton and sons-in-law, Mike Killion and Robert Olson of Clinton. He is also survived by granddaughters, Suzzette Grayson of Clinton, Kim and Cher Morrison of Knoxville, Beth Penland of Atlanta, Paige Penland of Oakland; great-grandchildren, Brenden, Brittny and Brandy Grayson of Clinton. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Martha Parker Blevins; brothers, Enoch, Elijah and Joseph Blevins and sons-in-law, Sam Morrison and Joseph Penland. PEEL, NAOMI SHECKLES - age 83, of LaFollette, passed away Tuesday evening, May 21, 2002 at her home. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Harold Peel; sisters, Zola Lawson, Anna Bolinger, Sarah Sheckles and Betty Towe; brothers, Milt Sheckles, Curtis Sheckles and James Sheckles. Survivors: sisters, Rosetta Hembree and Ina White, both of LaFollette and Nettie LaPach of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Cross Funeral Home, Rev. Paul Hembree officiating. Interment will be in Peabody Cemetery. RIDENOUR, ALICE RUTH - age 80, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2003, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Clinton. Preceded in death by husband, J. Carson Ridenour; parents, Rex and Minnie Dockery. Mrs. Ridenour was born July 16, 1922, in Dandridge, Tennessee. Survivors: daughters, Jacqueline S. Fagan of Crystal River, Florida, Vickie Csurny and husband, John of Clinton, Sherri G. Ridenour of Knoxville; sons, Dr. James C. Ridenour and wife, Susan of Lexington, Ky., Ronald H.
