SMITH - age 99 of LaFollette ===================================== DAVIS, DENA MAE AYERS - age 102, of LaFollette, passed away Wednesday night, May 7, 2003, at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of Davis Chapel Community Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Huston and Lettie (Bolton) Ayers; son, Thornal E. Davis, and brothers, Marshall, Everett and Minor Ayers. She is survived by grandson, Edward L. Davis of LaFollette; special sister-in-law, Winona Chapman; brother, Coy Ayers of Jacksboro, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral service 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Cross Funeral Home, Rev. Earl Chapman and Rev. Darryl Edwards officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Davis Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 til 8 p.m. Friday, prior to the funeral service. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home. SUMMERS, MRS. EDNA R. SMITH - age 99 of LaFollette, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at St. Mary's Health and Rehabilitation Center of LaFollette. She was a member of the Fordtown Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Rev. Audra Summers; son, Billy L. Summers; and daughter, Wilma Sharp. Survivors: sons and daughters in law, Ernest and Naomi Summers of LaFollette, Bobby and Judy Summers of Madison Heights, Mich. John C. and Madge Summers of Holyoke, MA; daughter and son in law, Maurine and Herbert Bennett of Louisville, Ky.; daughter, Edith McCoy of Rockford, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several other relatives and friends. Funeral services Friday 8 p.m. at Walters Chapel with Rev. Taylor Smith and Rev. Ronnie Arnold officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday before services at Walters Funeral Home. Walters Funeral Home, LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Edna R.
