WILLIAM TAFT - age 95, of LaFollette, HOLLEY, BRENDA CAROL - 54 of Xenia, Ohio, MCGHEE, SAMPSON "MICKEY" - age 32 of Lafollette SMITH, DANIEL - age 69, Clinton, TN, ========================================= ANDREWS, REV. WILLIAM TAFT - age 95, of LaFollette, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of Fincastle United Methodist Church. He served in Tennessee and Holston United Methodist Church Conference for 39 years, having served at Fincastle and Caryville United Methodist Church for 5 years, from 1952 to 1957. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening, music and being with people. He was so kind and thoughtful to all. Preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Mary Lee (Richardson) Andrews; his first wife, Edith Jarnigan Andrews; four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ollie Teague Andrews of LaFollette; son and daughter-in-law, William Taft (Bill) Andrews, Jr. and wife, Missy Albright Andrews of Bradenton, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lee and Charles Adkins of Hendersonville; four grandchildren, Andy Adkins and wife, Melanie, of Murfreesboro, Charla Adkins of Franklin, TN, Lucas Taft of Andrews and Olivia Taylor Andrews of Bradenton, Fla.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at Fincastle United Methodist Church, Rev. Kevin Cole and Dr. David Lord officiating. Interment will be in Fincastle Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the funeral service. Cross Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. HOLLEY, BRENDA CAROL - 54 of Xenia, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2003 at her home. She was born November 29, 1949 in Oneida, TN. She was the daughter of the late Benton and Nora (Acres) Stanley. She was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by: parents; a brother, Charles Stanley; and mother-in-law, Iva Holley. She is survived by: husband, Carl Phillip Holley, Jr., who she married on March 1, 1969; a daughter, Melissa and husband Eric Visage of Xenia, Ohio; granddaughter, Hailey Visage of Xenia, Ohio; sisters, Josephine Neilson of Knoxville, TN., Betty Lou Phillips of Oneida, TN., Jean and husband Jim Marlow of Jacksonville, FL., Nellie and Jim Shanks of Morristown, TN., Irene Smith of Clarksville, TN., Catherine and Fred Cannon of Knoxville, TN., Naomi and Darrell Bryan of Greenville, TN., Debbie and Kevin Griffin of Maryville; brothers: Burt and Daniel (Danny) Stanley of Knoxville; and a host of nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at The First Church of the Nazarene, 1265 W. 2nd Street, Xenia, Ohio with Rev. Al Ringer officiating. Burial will be in Cedarville North Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City was in charge of the arrangements SMITH, DANIEL - age 69, Clinton, TN, passed away on December 21, 2003 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Oak Ridge. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors: daughters, Dana Welsh and husband Jerry of Clinton, TN, Angie Chastain and husband Bobby of Clinton, TN, Tammy Craig of Clinton, TN; wife of 28 years, Mary Helen Smith of Clinton, TN; sisters, Patricia Ann Willis of Arizona, Betty Jo Smith of Knoxville, TN, Evelyn Nelson of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Kelly and Kasey Smith, Chase Chastain, Bobbie and Danny Williams, Mark Joseph McDevitt II; a host of friends.
