>From The Knoxville News Sentinel 8 Dec 2003 MARTIN, HOWARD N. SR. - age 79 of Indiana, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at Riley House Hospice. He was born in Clinton, TN. He was the son of the late Howard Edward and the late Myrtle Lienart Martin. Mr. Martin married Dorothy Christine Warwick. He served in the Army from 9/11/1943 to 12-31-1945. He was a Prisoner of War and a Veteran of W.W.II and receive the Purple Heart. He was a Millwright. He is survived by: wife, Christine (Nee Warwick) Martin; two sons, Nick (Terri) Martin, Tim Martin; three brothers, Lonas (Lilly) Martin, Earl Martin, John L. Martin; sister-in-law, Juanita Martin; many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by: parents; several brothers & sisters. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, December 8, 2003 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. The funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Seeber officiating. The interment will follow at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens with full military honors at graveside.
