"Jay" Salyers, 73, Speedwell ============================================ William Vernel Chiarini, 40, Powell died Friday, August 22, 2003 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Barbara Petree Chianrini. William is survived by his wife, Cathy Chiarini, Powell; son, Michael Chiarini, LaFollette; stepson, Michael Hatmaker, Ft. Campbell Ky; stepdaughter, Nicole McMillan, Powell; grandson, Brandon Hatmaker; brothers, Wymer and LeRoy Chiarini, both of LaFollette; sisters, Ann Tidwell and Earlene Turner, both of LaFollette, Karen Lane, Ky; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Sunday, August 26 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Petree officiating. Interment followed in Campbell Memorial Gardens. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Jacob Roach Denny, 93, Johnson City, died Monday, August 18, 2003 in NHC HealthCare following a lengthy illness. He was a native of LaFollette and the grandson of the late Luke Kenneth and Frances Roach Denny. Jacob is preceded in death by his first wife, Eunice Hartsell Denny; two daughters, Frances Denny and Janice Bain; brother Kenneth Denny; and sister, Louise James. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Bain Denny; son-in-law, Bill Bain Jr., Kentfield, CA; step-children, Tom DeBord and his wife, Jean, Johnson City, Eddie DeBord and his wife Beth, Sevierville, Kathryn DeBord Bentz and her husband, Reece, Long Beach, MS and Kristin DeBord, of the home; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and two nieces. Services were in Johnson City. Agnes Ferguson, 89, LaFollette, died Monday August 25, 2003 at St. Mary's Health and Rehabilitation Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the LaFollette Church of God, and retired from LaFollette Hospital dietary services after 30 years of employment. She is survived by her family, Maxie and Dennis Kitts, Effie and Jim Goins, John and Devonia Ferguson, Jack Ferguson and Bruce Ferguson; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. The family received friends Tuesday, August 26 at LaFollette Church of god with funeral services following with Rev. Norman Stallings officiating. Interment was Wednesday, August 27 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mary Alice Foust, 70, Lake City, died Sunday August 24, 2003 at her home in Lake City. She was born January 23, 1933 in Anderson County Tennessee to the late Charlie Hatmaker and Dallas Keathley. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Lake City. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved crocheting going to church and working in flowers. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; Charlie Hatmaker and Dallas Keathley; sister, Marlene Hickman; son-in-law, Ricky Ferguson. She is survived by her husband, Theodore Foust; daughter, Beverly K. Ferguson, both of Lake City; grandchildren, Teddy Ferguson, Jacksboro, Tabitha and husband Paul Myers, LaFollette; half brothers, Eugene Hatmaker and Gilbert Hatmaker, both of Oh; half sisters, Christine Martin, Lake City, Navaida Ferrell, Oh; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services were Tuesday, August 26 in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Franklin Henegar officiating. Interment was Wednesday August 27 at the Island Ford Cemetery in Lake City. Hatmaker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mae Green, 91, LaFollette, died Saturday, August 23, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was of the Protestant Faith. Mrs. Green was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Green; parents, Authur Lawson and Katherine Sliger Lawson; three sister and four brothers. Mae is survived by her daughters, Mary Drake, Cincinnati, Oh, Mae Nolan, Dayton, Oh; brother, Roy Lawson, Mi; sister, Ruth Pacquett, Norris; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. He attended the Open Doors Ministry and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Howard Kimberlin and Ella Jones Kimberlin. Doyle is survived by his wife, Thelma Kimberlin; children, Jeannie Richardson and husband Amos Jr. both of LaFollette, Inge Bostic and husband Scott, Austell, Ga., Christopher Michael (Stoney) and wife Linda Kimberlin, LaFollette, Rusty and wife Sue Kimberlin, Dusty and wife Tina Kimberlin, all of Douglasville, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Services were Wednesday, August 27 at Walters Chapel with Rev. Donald Ray Nelson officiating. Interment followed at Powell Valley Cemetery and Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Loveday loved to fish, sing and spend time with her family and friends. Mrs. Loveday is preceded in death by her husband, Ancil Loveday; parents, Wheeler and Dora Murray Demarcus and sister, Lorraine Rutherford. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, LaFollette where she was a choir member and Elder of the church. She also worked with Campbell County Food Life Service for six years. Nancy is survived by her husband, Jack Mounts, LaFollette; sons, Steve Mounts, Houston, Tx., Jack Mounts Jr., Titusville, Fla.; daughters, Martha Mayo, Carol Slusher, both of Jacksboro, Patty Phillips, Titusville Fla; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Roberts, Saint Albans, W. Va; sister, Alice Goode, Va. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 28 at the First Presbyterian Church, LaFollette with Rev. Malcolm King officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday before the funeral. The body of Mrs. Mounts will be taken to Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston, W. Va. for the interment. He was of the Baptist Faith and U.S. Navy Veteran. James is survived by his wife, Ruth Smith Salyers; son, Ricky J. Salyers, LaFollette; grandsons, Tyler and Cody Salyers, Beloit Wis.; brother Kyle Salyers, Eubank, Ky; sisters, Lorrine Albo, Trenton Mi., Bertha Maggard, Eubank, Ky.; and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral services were Sunday, August 24 with Reverends Charles Goins and Chester Blew officiating. Interment was Monday at Eubank Cemetery, Eubank, Ky.
