AGNES - age 89, of LaFollette, MORRISON, RONALD D. - age 55, of Harriman, formerly of Oliver Springs, MOUNTS, NANCY LEE - age 78, of LaFollette, PHILLIPS, RUBY GERALDINE PATTON "JEAN PATTON" - age 69, of Clinton, ============================================ FERGUSON, MRS. AGNES - age 89, of LaFollette, passed away Monday, August 25, 2003 at St. Mary's Health and Rehabilitation Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the LaFollette Church of God, and retired from LaFollette Hospital Dietary Services after 30 years of employment. She is survived by her family, Maxie and Dennis Kitts, Effie and Jim Goins, John and Devonia Ferguson, Jack Ferguson and Bruce Ferguson; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. Interment Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Reverend Norman Stallings officiating. Walters Funeral Home, of LaFollette, is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Agnes Ferguson. MORRISON, RONALD D. - age 55, of Harriman, formerly of Oliver Springs, passed away August 26, 2003, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, after a long illness. Mr. Morrison was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Mr. Morrison grew up in the Norwood area of Oliver Springs, went to school at Norwood Elementary and Clinton High School, where he met his wife, Lana Duncan. They were married right out of high school, and moved to Athens, Georgia, where he went to work with TVA Brown Ferry Nuclear Plant. In 1973, he and his family moved to Spring City to work at the TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, where they lived for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, coaching children in T-Ball, Football, also he took the girls softball to the World Softball Tournament in Marietta, Georgia. He was well known as a giving person and loving family man. Mr. Morrison is preceded in death by his father and mother, Rauleigh and Lucilla Morrison. Mr. Morrison is survived by his wife, Lana Duncan Morrison of Harriman; one daughter, Candy Jean Morrison and her fiance', Eric Latshaw of Spring City; one brother, Rauleigh Morrison, Jr. of Lawrenceville, Georgia; one sister, Phyllis Crenshaw of Locus Grove, Georgia. Also by a host of family and friends that will sadly miss him. Mr. Morrison family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2003, at the Oliver Springs Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2003, in the chapel of Oliver Springs Mortuary with the Rev. Garvan Walls and Rev. Homer Gunter officiating. Interment will be in the Spring City Memorial Garden in Spring City, following the funeral service. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association of Tennessee, 212 S. MOUNTS, NANCY LEE - age 78, of LaFollette, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2003 at the Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, LaFollette, where she was a choir member and elder of the church. She also worked with Campbell County Food Life Service for 6 years. Survivors: husband, Jack Mounts, LaFollette; sons, Steve Mounts, Houston, TX, Jack Mounts, Jr., Titusville, FL; daughters, Martha Mayo, Jacksboro, Carol Slusher, Jacksboro, Patty Phillips, Titusville, FL; 10 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren; brother, Jim Roberts, Saint Albans, WV; sister, Alice Goode, VA; Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 28, at the First Presbyterian Church, LaFollette, with Rev. Malcolm King officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday before the funeral. The body of Mrs. Mounts will be taken to Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston, WV for the interment. Arrangements by Cross Funeral Home. PHILLIPS, RUBY GERALDINE PATTON "JEAN PATTON" - age 69, of Clinton, passed away Monday, August 25, 2003, at the Baptist Hospital in Knoxville. She was a 36 year member of North Clinton Baptist Church, a active chaplain with the Salvation Army, also a member of the AARP organization. She was a loving caregiver for the elderly and loved visiting area nursing homes. She spent most of her adult life witnessing to others and helping them to come to know Christ as their Savior. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Preceded in death by husband, Roy Clarence Patton; daughter, Ruby Jane "Squeekie" Patton, and several brothers and sisters. Jean was born December 30, 1933, in Crossville. Survivors: daughters, Mary Frances Armes and husband, Robert of Wartburg, Mary Jane Reneau and husband, Steve of Clinton, and Jennifer Childress and husband, John of Heiskell; grandchildren, Lisa Brady, Robia Rains, Bobbie Armes, Christopher Armes, Joshua Armes, Samantha Jane Goins and husband, Tate, Marvin McHugh and wife, Kelly, Leslie Rutherford, Logan Rutherford; nine great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Bill Patton and wife, Elzabeth of Andersonville, Charles Patton and wife, Pat of Clinton; sisters-in-law, Mary Jewell Patton of Clinton, Mary Anne Blankenship and husband, Oscar of Livingston, and Naomi Phipps and husband, Herman of Livingston, and several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family. Many special friends at the Clinton Towers where she had made her home. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2003, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, in Clinton, with funeral service following at 8:00 p.m., in the chapel with Sgt. Shirley Robinson and Rev. Ralph Wilson officiating. Interment will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at New Bonaire Cemetery in Bonaire, Tennessee.
