    2. >From The Knoxville News Sentinel 15 Aug 2003 BOLES, MR. GEORGE WASHINGTON, JR. - age 69, of Lawndale, NC, died Tuesday, August 12, 2003, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. He was born in Robbins, Tenn., August 26, 1933. Mr. Boles was a member of Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church of Lawndale, American Legion Post 292 of Miami, Florida, and Eastern Airlines Retiree Association, and a former member of Miami Springs Golf and Country Club and the Men's Golf Association in Miami Springs, Florida. He was an active supporter of the March of Dimes and the American Red Cross. Mr. Boles served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Airline Executive with Eastern Airlines and Pan American World Airways. While employed by Eastern Airlines, he was assigned to the military airlift command during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in Guam and the Philippines. He was preceded in death by father and mother, George Washington and Audrey Goad Boles. Survivors: wife of 26 years, Sue Warlick Boles, of the home; brother and his wife, William Howard and Betty Boles of Robbins, Tenn.; brother and his wife, John Curtis and Shirley Boles of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister, Jo Ann Boles Shoemaker of Elgin, Tenn.; brother-in-law and his wife, Yates and Marlie Dean Warlick of Lawndale, NC; sister-in-law and her husband, Ostine and Luther West of Mocksville; sister-in-law, Frances R. Warlick of Shelby; 14 nieces and nephews and 28 great nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Welch and Rev. Steve Boles officiating. Burial will be at Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The body may be viewed from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to service. Memorials may be made to Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 1002 Carpenter's Grove Church Rd., Lawndale, NC 28090, or Robbins Baptist Church, 761 Tunnel Hill Road, Robbins, TN 37852.
