She was born July 18, 1911 in Roane County, in the Wheat community. She was a member of Broadway Methodist Church in Maryville. Preceded in death by husband, Earl W. Davis; parents, Charles & Virginia Shannon Miller; grandson, Kent Williams; brother, Maynard Miller; sisters, Mildred Smith, Violet Smith & Nan Miller. Survivors: daughter, Sandra D. Williams & husband, Julian of Norris; grandsons, Brant Williams & wife, Angela of Kingston, Josh Williams of Norris; great-grandsons,Aaron & Brandon Cutshaw of Kingston; sister-in-law, Kathleen Davis of Maryville; niece, Patricia Blankenship of Maryville; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, July 21, 2003 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Maryville with Rev. Clay Mulford officiating. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was owner of Fraker & Son Excavating Company. Preceded in death by parents, George & Nora E. Childress Fraker; daughter, Charlotte Ann Fraker Stalans; sister, Dorothy Ogle; brother, Robert Fraker. Mr. Fraker was born September 18, 1929 in Anderson County. Survivors: wife of 52 years Mary Elizabeth Wilder Fraker of Claxton; son, Stephan Fraker of Claxton; granddaughter, Lisa C. Stalans Taylor of Claxton; sisters, Jean Fraker of Claxton, Mary Jane Morgan of Knoxville, Wanda McMahan of Knoxville; brothers, Clyde Fraker of Claxton, Ralph Fraker of Claxton, Ross Fraker of Claxton; several nieces & nephews; special friends & care givers, Bobby Walker, Teresa McMahan & daughter, Leigha Brummett, James & Pat Woods. HOBBY, BOYD HARVIE, JR. - age 81 of Powell went to be with the Lord 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2003. He was a longtime member, deacon and choir member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. Retired from Y-12 after 34 years of service. Member of Powell Lodge # 582 F&AM. Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by: wife, Dorothy King Hobby; granddaughter, Julia Ann Easterday; parents, Boyd, Sr. and Flora Hobby; twin sister and brother, Charlsie and Charles Hobby. A life long resident of the Edgemore-Claxton community, she was born June 22, 1918 in Anderson County to Edward & Lillie Warwick Sievers. When her husband was drafted into the Army, she followed him to New Jersey & obtained employment at the base, keeping their marriage a secret from the military authorities. She spent what time she could with him before he left for England to prepare for the Normandy Invasion. He served with the 29th Infantry, one of the assault divisions on Omaha Beach. She was retired from dual careers with the Atomic Energy Commission & Nationwide Insurance Company. When her mother was stricken with a stroke she took care of her bedridden mother at home until her passing one year later. Until crippled by osteoporosis, her favorite activities were doing errands and providing transportation for other members of the community. She was an active member of Glenwood Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by her mother (1975) and her father (1980). Survivors: husband of 61 years, Carl R. Kelly of Clinton; son, Carl R. Kelly, Jr. of Clinton. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2003 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with funeral service following at 8:00 p.m., in the chapel. MITCHELL, ANNA ROSE CLINE - age 36 of Kingston and Oak Ridge, departed this life unexpectedly on Thursday, July 17, 2003. She was of the Baptist faith as well as loving life, music and being a mother to her sons. She graduated from Midway High School in 1984. Anne was also an organ donor so that she could give life to others. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Edith Matlock and Shelton and Annie Cline, all of Oak Ridge and an uncle Robert Horne of Kingston. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Shane Mitchell and sons, Austin (7) and Reid (5); parents, Janice and Edward Garner of San Pedro, Calif. and Dick Cline of Tamarack, Fla.; sister and brother in law, Leslie and Ken VanderLugt of Indiana; brother and sister in law, Chris and Henrietta Konefsky of Indiana; sister and brother in law, Lisa and Tom Pickel of Kingston; brother, Russ Warren of Maryville; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Tyl of Kingston, Stephanie (White) Wright of Knoxville, Matthew Konefsky of Calif., Michael Tyl of Washington, Janice White of Kingston and Paul Konefsky of Indiana; great nieces and nephews Jocelyn and Bryce Konefsky of Calif. and Maggie Wright of Knoxville; aunts, Marge Argola of Lenoir City and Janie Yost of Oak Ridge; several cousins and friends. WILLIAMS, MARY LUCILLE - 80, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, July 18, 2003 at the Methodist Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Mack Nance and Martha Arlene Spoon. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Central Point Baptist Church in Rutledge, Tennessee. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Williams on November 7, 1978 and a granddaughter, Deborah Williams on May 6, 1999. Survivors include three sons, Gary A. Williams of Powell, Johnny Roger Williams and Ronnie H. Williams both of Oak Ridge; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at 8 PM at Weatherford Mortuary, with Dr. Larry Dipboye officiating. A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 20, 2003 at 2 PM at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
