My direct line is BARNETT, HALL. BARNETT, Hoyt...b. 23JUNE1918...Tennessee, Scott Co., Have been told that he d. 1955...California. However, there is a "MYSTERY" surrounding this. He was very ill, and an ambulance came and they took him away on a stretcher. There was lots of blood. He had collapsed while playing with me out in the yard. My Aunt Pearl said he was hemorrhaging. I was around six years old at the time, (1951), but I remember it very well. My Aunt went over to him and said to him, Hoyt, Pray! Pray Hoyt! to which he replied..."I am Praying, Aunt Pearl, and then he closed his eyes and they loaded him in the ambulance and took him away. He came back a couple of times after that to see Grandpa & Grandma BARNETT,(his Mom & Dad), and us children, there were three of us; in 1953. That was the last time any of us ever saw him again. Then in 1955, Grandpa died and that left Grandma to raise the three of us. Grandma grieved all those years and went to her grave believing that Daddy would walk through the door at any given moment. She made me promise that I would do everything that I could to find out the real truth about what happened to Dad. I been searching for a very long time now, and still don't know all the truth. So please, if there is anyone out there that knows even the smallest little thing about my Dad, Please, please let me know. Good or Bad, I need to know. There is only the two of us left now, as we just lost our sister, Marilyn Joyce BARNETT, Thomas, 31MAY2003. Our Dad's Parents: Son of Martin Harrison BARNETT...b.29AUG1890...Pulaski Co., Kentucky...d.30JAN1955...Tennessee, Scott Co., and Susannah "Annie" OWENS...b.01OCT1890...Scott Co., Tennessee...d.13JAN1967...Scott Co., Tennessee. ------------------------------------------------------- The One Who Had Us: HALL, Nellie Nixola...b. 13APRIL1920 (I think!) I am not sure, because she left me when I was three (3) years old, our brother was only eighteen months (18) mos. old, still in diapers; and our Sissy had just turned seven (7) years old. I know that she and my Dad were married 29JUNE1940, as I have their Marriage Certificate. They were married in Tennessee, Scott Co. She also remarried a man with last name of FAULKNER, and had two more children, then divorced. Last we heard she was living in MONTANA, POLSON. She wasn't at our Sissy's Funeral, but we were told while we were there, that she was still in MONTANA. Her Parents are: HALL, David M.,...b.02JULY1885... d.NOV1961. I don't know where he was born. He is buried at Baptist Memorial Cemetery, Scott Co., Tennessee. LAVENDER, Lucy...b.06MARCH1896...d.13SEPT1976. I don't know where she was born.
