    3. Hi! Debbie, Thank you again. I have been tracking all of this for so long, yet, have been unable to really prove any of it so far. I even have my Dad's SS#, but have never been able to get it to come up on anything. None of the info., I have been given checks out, one big roadblock after another. We were told he died in California, for which we also tracked down a death certificate. However, we find it may or may not be original. It is such a very long story. In other words, nothing adds up, so to speak. Dad was also in the U.S. ARMY and as of 1991, they still showed that they have no record of him being deceased. I have been to the Veterans office, and was told that he signed up for his pension, yet had never drawn any of it. Later on information is that someone had been drawing it for the past ten years. Another very strange thing, when my grandma, his mother, who raised the three of us received the news that he was dead, she was brought an American Flag, and an Officers Hat (dress). No body, no nothing else. She was told that he died in the Service, now like she said, if he had, then they (the ARMY) would have escorted his body home. That never happened. Ten years later, I find out that no one in our family anyway, ever went and identified the body there in California. My Grandpa had died also on 30JAN1955, my Grandma was not able to do anything, she could not even read or write and therefore, we were all small. Every place I have searched, even having prior info., and at one point in time, even sending the death cert. as asked for, was then returned to me saying they had never heard of this person, no records whatsoever. This was also in California. The same thing has happened over and over again. I do not believe that a person can just totally disappear and not leave some trace. I have spoken with Hospitals, Funeral homes, Cemeteries, etc., "BIG ROADBLOCKS". I even spoke with a lady in California, who asked me to call back on a Thursday morning and she would tell me everything I wanted to know about my Dad. I did so, and she acted like she never ever had spoken to me and hung up. I still have the info., in my files along with her name. This was also a Hospital and or a Nursing Home. She said she could not confirm it the first time I had called when I began to question her. Anyway, I truly believe there is someone out there who has to know something about this. I will continue to pursue it until the Truth comes out. I would like to Thank everyone for all the replies I have had, and for your help. I so truly appreciate it.
