>From The Knoxville News Sentinel 22 Jul 2003 SHUFORD, EDWARD MORRIS - age 79, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2003, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born August 13, 1923, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He retired from O.R.N.L. in Oak Ridge as an Industrial Engineer with over 46 years of service. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University where he received his degree in Engineering. Mr. Shuford attended Highland View Church of Christ in Oak Ridge. He was a United States Army Veteran, who served during World War II. Preceded in death by parents, Morris and Cora Rackley Shuford; first wife, Ann Shuford; brothers, Charles and William Shuford. Survivors: wife, JoAnn Shuford of Clinton; daughters, Carol Carner and husband, Greg of Estes Park, Colo., Kay Davis and husband, Marvin of Clinton, Jeannie Barrett and husband, Terry of Windermere, Fla., Reesa Evans and husband, David of Franklin; sons, Michael Shuford of Seymour, Jimmy Hodge and wife, Heather of Franklin; grandchildren, Chance and Natalie Carner, Caleb Davis, Mackenzi Barrett, Caimbrin and Mason Shuford, Olivia Hodge. The family will receive friends 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, in Clinton, with funeral service following the visitation at 8:00 p.m., in the chapel with Minister Curtis McClane and Rev. Dwight Jenkins officiating. Interment will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, at Anderson Memorial Park.
