Preceded in death by parents, Bertha and Dave LeMarr; husband, William Nolan Carmany and infant son, Bobby. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Norman Tate of Knoxville; brothers, Ben, Lowell and Floyd of LaFollette; sisters, Ella Mae Lemarr and Joyce Franklin, both of LaFollette. Family and friends will meet at the entrance of Highland Memorial Cemetery, Knoxville, at 10:45 a.m. Friday, August 1, for graveside and entombment service at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Ralph Cordell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909. GOLDBERG, MARY AGNESS (BALES) - age 88 of Wartburg, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2003. She was at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was born December 14, 1914 and lived her early years in Lancing. She and her husband moved to Oakdale where they operated a grocery store, a clothing store in Roane County and a Service Station in Wartburg. For the past 30 plus years she lived in Mossy Grove. She was a two time cancer survivor. And she had been a resident of Life Care of Morgan County for the past three years. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Mossy Grove and attended regularly as long as her health permitted. She lived the life of a humble Christian and followed the Golden Rule. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Goldberg; parents, Charlie and Minnie Bales; sisters, Maude Freytag, Lizzie Hall and Evelyn Graybeal; brothers, Jim Bales and Earl Bales. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Jimmy Cheek of Wartburg; brother, John Bales of Harriman. She also leaves two precious granddaughters, Debra Kamer and husband Dale of Wartburg and Sherry Cheek of Oak Ridge; three great- grandchildren, Shannon Kamer and Shawn Kamer of Wartburg and Latisha Kilby of Oak Ridge; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 31, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services will begin at 8 p.m. with Bro. Jim Phillips officiating. GREGORY, JOHN FRANK, JR. - age 78, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., died Monday, July 28, 2003, at National Health Care in Oak Ridge. He was born December 1, 1924, in Barnesville, Ga., to the late John Frank Gregory, Sr. and Lizzie Viola Butler Gregory. He was a Chemical Engineer with Martin Marietta, and served in the U.S. Navy. He was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed traveling and boating. Survivors: wife, Eva Jean Hicks Gregory of Oak Ridge, and son, John F. Gregory, III of Nashville, Tenn. LOY, PARIS RONDOL, JR., (P.R.) - age 66, of Clinton, Tennessee, passed away in his sleep, Sunday morning, July 27, 2003, at his home in Clinton. He was a deacon of South Clinton Baptist Church. He was also a member of A L F A Lodge #376. He retired from the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge in 1994, as a pipe fitter. Preceded in death by parents, Paris R. Loy, Sr. and Louise Murray Loy; grandson, Tony Kyle Williams. Survivors: wife of 48 years, Peggy Hamrick Loy of Clinton; daughter, Patti and husband, Ronnie Williams of Morristown; sons, Jeff Loy and wife, Sherry of Fentress County, Tenn., Keith Loy and wife, Kathy of Jacksboro, Tenn., Tim Loy and wife, Cheryl of Clinton, Tenn.; grandchildren, Amy Williams, Ross Williams and wife, Ashlee, Rachel Loy, Tiffany Loy, Blake Loy, Tanner Loy, and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 28, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the South Clinton Baptist Church, with the funeral service following at 8:00 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Preceded in death by daughter, Imogene Williams; parents, Harrison and Deloris Messamore Nation; sister, Axie Nation; brothers, Benjamin and Tim Nation. She was born February 9, 1939, in Anderson County.
