I found this on the California Death Records at Rootsweb http://userdb.rootsweb.com/ca/death/search.cgi Barnett, Hoyt, born 7/2/1918, Mother's maiden name Owens. Born TN, died Sacramento 5/13/1955. I'm sure you can order a death certificate from California. I'm not related as far as I know.
