Sanders Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville. She was a member of the Ivy Dell Church of God, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Naomi is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Celia Madron and by a sister Madoline Hatfield. She is survived by her husband, William V. (Bill) Allen; brother, Lewis Madron; sons Robert Allen and Earl Allen, all of LaFollette; daughter, Rose Campbell and husband Gary, Jacksboro; five grandchildren, Shannon Shears, April Allen, both of LaFollette, Michael Scott Campbell and Dustin Wayne Campbell, both of Jacksboro, Andrea Jones and husband Jason Jones, LaFollette; one great-grandchild, Billy Davis; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Sunday, September 14 at Walters Chapel with Reverends Estel Powers, Lloyd Campbell and Andrew Ayers officiating. Interment was Saturday, September 13 at Bakers Forge Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Robert Benjamin Alley, 67, South Knoxville, died Friday, September 12, 2003 after a brief illness. Ben was born and raised in LaFollette. After graduating from LaFollette High School, Ben attended the University of Tennessee and later received his DDS degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. In 1959, Ben joined the U.S. Air Force and served two years at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX. Dr. Ben Alley had his oral surgery residencies at the University Medical Center in Knoxville and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham and was named Diplomat, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He went on to establish an oral surgery practice in Knoxville and eventually became a partner in University Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons until his retirement in 2001. In the Tennessee Dental Association, he served as trustee and president. He received the TDA Fellowship Award in 1975 and the Dr. Jack E. Wells Memorial Dedication to Dentistry Award in 2002. In the American Dental Association, Dr. Alley was both a delegate and alternate delegate on the House of Delegates. He was a member and served on the Board of Regents for the American College of Dentists and was a member of the International College of Dentists. Dr. Alley was a member of the Tennessee and the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also served on the Board of Directors at the UT College of Dentistry. Ben has been a member of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church for 41 years and served as Elder and Deacon. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Helen Armstrong Alley; daughter, Sharon Wallace and husband David; sons, David Alley and wife Katie and Robert C. Alley, MD and wife Elizabeth; grandsons, Blair and Eric Alley; mother, Lula Lynch Alley. Services were Monday, September 14 at Lake Forest Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kirk Werner officiating. A private Interment followed immediately after. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Building Fund at Lake Forest Presbyterian Church, 714 Lake Forest Drive, Knoxville, TN 37920. Blevins, 68, LaFollette died Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at U.T. Medical Center, Knoxville. He was a retired construction worker and a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. Richard is preceded in death by two children, Donna Marie Monk, and Richard Lee Blevins; parents, Lum and Lindy Hensley Blevins. He is survived by his wife, Aileen J. Blevins, LaFollette; daughters, Carolyn June Claus and husband Donald, Birmingham, AL., Brenda Sue Lemaster and husband Keith,Debbie Moore and husband William, all of Columbus, OH., Penny Lynn Blevins and husband Mooch, Tuscaloosa, AL.; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lum Blevins Jr., George Blevins, and Bert Blevins, all of Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude Davis Paul; brothers, Charlie and Silas Paul; sisters, Betsy Rucker, Louise Hamilton and Alzee Paul. Betty is survived by her husband, Terry Burrell, LaFollette, son, James Burrell, Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Ternia and Frankie Hatmaker, LaFollette; grandchildren, Brandon, Cory, and Hunter Hatmaker, LaFollette, Tyler Burrell, Lake City; brother, Jessel Paul; sister, Opal Gibson, both of LaFollette; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Doyle Chapman; parents, Charles Dewy Huckaby and Etta M. McKinney, and sisters, Jimmie Ogg, Glenna Raburn and Jo Byrge. Margaret is survived by her children, Peggy Chapman Anderson and husband Ken, Knoxville, Paul S. Danny Housley, 60, Winder, GA., formerly of LaFollette, died Friday, September 12, 2003 at the Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA. He was a member of Ford Town Baptist Church. Jewell Geraldine Mullins, 69, died Thursday, September 4, 2003. She was born May 23, 1934. Jewell is now at peace with God. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gilbert Mullins. Jewell is survived by her sons, James, Marvin and wife (Rhonda), and Boyd and wife (Shelly) Mullins; sisters, Edith and Jenny; brother, Marshall; some grandchildren, James Oscar Mullins, Brian Ray Mullins; great-grandchildren, Cassidy and Hunter; and many other relatives and friends. Bobby Sharp, 56, Jacksboro died Monday, September 15, 2003 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of the Fordtown Baptist Church. Bobby was a loving father, son, and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bobby also enjoyed praising Jesus, his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his father, Dana Sharp. Bobby is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Baker, Caryville, Misty Sharp and Emily Seibers, both of Jacksboro; mother, Magalene Sharp, Jacksboro; sisters, Wanda Sue Wallace and Diane Farmer, both of Jacksboro; special little friend, Dezarey Farmer, LaFollette; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Wednesday, September 17 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Reverends David Hicks and Tony Wallace officiating. John Lee West, 64, White Oak, died Thursday, September 4, 2003 at his home. Llewellyn Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Louise Eugenia Wilson, 59, Caryville, died Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the Ridgeview Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilson was a loving sister, aunt and great aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley and Laura Eldridge Wilson. Louise is survived by her brother, Carl Wilson, Clinton; sisters, Willie Joy Wilson and Mitza Webb, both of Caryville, Doris Lawless, Clinton, Donna Leach, Florence, KY.; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
