She was born August 15, 1936. She was a member of Blair's Creek Baptist Church. A former member of Indiana Ave. Baptist Church of LaFollette and Dogwood Heights Baptist Church of Tazewell. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed her flowers, family and children and elderly people. She was the daughter of the late Hugh Edgar and Messie (Wilson) Bolinger. Doris is survived by her husband of 51 years, James Oba Baird; son and daughter-in-law, Diane and Jim Lane; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary Jo Baird; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Jim Lane, all of Tazewell; grandchildren, Chance Baird, Wesley Baird, Danielle Lane and William Lane, all of Tazewell; great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Damon Baird; brothers, Carson Bolinger and wife Edith; Shields Bolinger and wife Geneva, all of LaFollette, Howard Bolinger, Dacula, GA.; sisters, Vonette Russell, LaFollette, Mary Ann Barker, Ada, OK., Shirley Newport, Orlando, FL., and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Travis Chumley and Jerry Chumley. Claiborne Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Phyllis Ann Goins, 55, LaFollette, died Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at U.T. Medical Center, Knoxville. She was of the Baptist Faith. Her father, Bowman Roach, preceded her in death. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Willard Goins; son, Tim Goins, LaFollette; one grandchild; mother, Edith Petree Roach; brother Phillip Roach, both of LaFollette; sisters, Joan Douglas, West Milton, OH, Joyce Reed, Roseville. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Briceville. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time wither friends and neighbors, loved gardening and enjoyed life to it's fullest. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Julie House, Margaret Overbay, and Billy Lee of whom she adopted and thought of as her own. For the love and caring they gave Ocie for so many years. And a special thanks to Linda Phillips, Berline Ellis and Lucille Wright for the care giving and love shown toward Ocie in the times that were most needed. William Leo "Bill" Sennett, Jr. 83, Middletown, OH, died Saturday, August 23, 2003 at his vacation home in Caryville. Bill was born in Middletown, OH on June 6, 1920 to William Leo and Anna Iva (Tobin) Sennett, Sr. Bill was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Church. He loved his Irish heritage, his family, basketball, and horse racing. He graduated from Middletown High School in 1938, and served his country in the Coast Guard during World War II. He worked in the corrugated industry for 50 years. Mr. Sennett was the president of Sennett Containers Inc., a corrugated container manufacturing company, from 1970 until his retirement in 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Sennett; sisters, Louise Abell and Margaret Zehring. Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patsy C. (White) Sennett, Middletown; one daughter, Suzanne A (Scott) Weil, Knoxville; three sons, William Leo (Regina) Sennett III and David Tobin (Keri) Sennett, both of West Chester, and Michael James Sennett, Middletown; eight grandchildren, Amber (Kipp) Leihgeber, Lauren Weil, Molly Sennett, Andrew Weil, Will Sennett, Luke Sennett, Daniel Sennett, and Katie Sennett; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
