HERBERT W. - age 74, SEAL, HELEN LOUNEVA - age 78, SINGLETON, LOUISE GOUGE HARRIS - age 68, WILSON, RODNEY - age 40, of Briceville, TN, ============================================ HALL, RAYMOND F. "SLIM" - age 84, a longtime Oliver Springs businessman, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2003 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mr. Hall was born July 5, 1919 in Sullivan County, TN. He moved to Oliver Springs in 1943 and immediately went to work as a mechanic on the Manhattan Project. In 1952, he opened the Oliver Springs PanAm Service Station and started his legacy as a colorful Oliver Springs resident. Slim told many a "tall tale", traded knives and guns, and entertained many who passed by. He continued the tradition until his retirement in the late seventies. He was also a talented farmer, who raised and sold cattle. He took great pride in his flower and vegetable garden. He seemed to have a "green thumb" because he grew so many vegetables, they leaped from his garden, and he was very generous with the bountiful supply that he produced. His favorite flower, the gladiolus was a pleasing pastime of Mr. Hall. Mr. Hall was a member of the Liberty Breathern Church and the Omega Masonic Lodge #536 F&A.M. He was a master mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dock Alexander Hall and Vertie Mae Adams Hall, by his wife, Katherine Imogene Carson Hall, by a great-grandchild, Cassie Hall, and by four brothers, George, Elmo, Jay, and Ralph Hall. Survivors: daughter, Judy Lane and husband, Newell, of Oak Ridge; sons, Larry Hall and wife, Shelly, of Oliver Springs, David Hall and wife, Nancy, of Coalfield; grandchildren, Tom Hall, Michelle Hall Duff, Sara Smith, Brandee Hoglund, Halston Lane, Nate Hall; great- grandchildren, Kimberly Hall, Carson Hall, Jordan Gallagher, Derek Smith, Audrey Jones, Erica Henegar; great-great- grandchild, Austin Jones; brother, Frank Hall of Gray, TN; sisters, Edith Bullis of Boones Creek, Gladys Galloway of Sullivan County, Mary L. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with Pastor Garvan Walls officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. HERBERT W. - age 74, of Jefferson City, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 28, 2003, at East Tennessee Baptist Hospital. He was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church in Grainger County. Rev. Heatherly was a Baptist Minister and has pastored churches in Anderson, Grainger, Greene, Jefferson, Knox, and Roane Counties. Preceded in death by parents, Virgil O. and Mary E. Heatherly of Lake City, Tenn. Survived by wife of 57 years, Avenell Foust Heatherly of Jefferson City; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Jimmy Dale Patterson of Dandridge, Maxine and Doug Quarles of Jefferson City, Chris and Omar McCarty of Strawberry Plains; son and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Linda Heatherly of Rutledge; grandchildren, Lydia and Braum Denton, Carri Quarles, Bradley and Megan McCarty, Lisa Lakins; great-grandson, Sammy Chapman and several cousins. SEAL, HELEN LOUNEVA - age 78, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2003, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a Medical Technologist, who worked for St. Mary's Hospital for many years and was retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She is preceded in death by parents, O. L. (Jack) and Nancy Seal; brothers, Bill H. Seal and Frank N. Seal, and sister, Mary Emma Seal. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy L. and Dr. Molly Seal of Chattanooga, Tenn., Linda H. Seal of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Velma Seal Kincaid of Farragut Tenn.; nieces, Betty Ann Seal and Joy Seal-Ettel; nephews, Bill Seal, Jr., Jack Seal, Scott Seal, Jason Seal, and Britt Seal. SINGLETON, LOUISE GOUGE HARRIS - age 68, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Saturday, September 27, 2003 at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Florida following an illness. Mrs. Singleton was preceded in death by her father, Robert Elmer Gouge. She was born August 17, 1935 in Morgan County, Tennessee. She lived in Dayton, Ohio for 11 years before moving to Florida in 1970. She was a retired Nursing Assistant and a member of The Church of God. Survivors: mother, Dora Noe Gouge of Oliver Springs; daughter, Sharon Gail Archer of Jacksonville; sons, Randy Harris and wife, Blaine, of Tampa, Fla., Douglas Harris and Tony Harris, both of Jacksonville; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Joe Robert Gouge and wife, Brenda, of Oak Ridge, Bert E.
