Bracken, 87, of Harriman, Marjorie Edith Jackson King, 82, of Oak Ridge, Tina Michelle Lockhart, 30, of Chattanooga, Lorraine Sterling Huff, 79, formerly of Oak Ridge, ============================================ Virgie Smith Kincaid, 90, of Oak Ridge, died Saturday, July 13, 2003, at Briarcliff Health Care Center. Born July 8, 1913, in McComb, Miss., she was the daughter of James A. and Minnie A. Smith. Mrs. Kincaid was a member of Community Baptist Church in Oliver Springs and was a secretary and insurance clerk with E.H. Crump & Co. in Memphis for 40 years. According to her family, she enjoyed doing crafts and loved fishing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Darla Hester, and by a sister, Ruby Pearson. Mrs. Kincaid is survived by a daughter, Judy Loy, and husband, Allen, of Oliver Springs; a granddaughter, Kimberly Hester, of Atlanta; a grandson, David Marsh, of Memphis; a great-grandson, Ryan Marsh; and by a niece, Joyce Stone, and husband, the Rev. Bailey Stone, of Dallas, Texas. The funeral will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Bailey Stone officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. William "Bill" Joseph Olinger, 69, of Dayton, Ohio, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at Hospice of Dayton. Born in Bristol he was the son of Dorothy Olinger. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a grandfather, George S. Olinger, who he considered special. Mr. Olinger is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda "Judy" Hill Olinger; his daughter, Chris Earnhart of Austin, Texas; a grandson, Tony Earnhart and wife, Heather, of Ector, Texas; two great-granddaughters, Shelby Earnhart and Veronica Earnhart; a brother, Wayne Olinger of New Lebanon, Ohio; and by two aunts, Marie Bowser of Lebanon, Ohio, and Mildred Scott of Vandalia, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, four brothers-in-law, and four sisters-in-law, all of Dayton. Merle Horton of Gainsboro is considered a special friend. A graveside service will follow visitation Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at Woodhaven Cemetery in Claxton with the Rev. Mack Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. Mable Belle Cardwell, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at her home. She was the daughter of Samuel R. Hillard and Mary Caroline Hemphill Hillard. Her family said she will be deeply loved and sorely missed. According to her family, Mrs. Cardwell's Christian faith was her greatest source of inner strength and helped her triumph over many trials in her life. Her family said she always expressed and encouraged her children, family and others the honor and privilege in knowing Jesus Christ as a personal Savior and the importance of power in prayer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ora T. Cardwell; two granddaughters, Valena R. Viles and Alice Hillard; two unborn children; three brothers, Robert Hillard, Johnny Hillard and Tommy Hillard; two sisters, Helen Warwick and Edith Martinez; and by Lucy Lane. Mrs. Cardwell is survived by children and children she loved as her own, Joseph Hillard, Charlotte Riseden, JoeAnne Keith of Knoxville, Billie Viles of Mount Jackson, Va., Ora Jr. and Russell and Bobbie Strand of Rutledge, Don and Becky Cardwell of Soddy Daisy, Alla Mae and Sylvester Corley, Doyle and Kathleen Cardwell, Charles and Karen Cardwell of Anderson County, Opal and Ronald Bridges of Limestone, and Clayton and Eileen Cardwell of Nashville. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, including Sam Strand and Monica Strand, who he considered special; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two brothers, Jeff Hillard and wife, Alice, of Knoxville, and Eugene Hillard and wife, Betty, of Knoxville; two sisters, Rose Proietti and husband, Joe, of Aiken, S.C., and Martha Jones of Knoxville; three sisters-in-law, Erma Lee, Frances and Linda Hillard, all of Knoxville; and by several other relatives. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Anthony "Tony" Day officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Walter Stanley Wendolkowski, 83, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003. Mr. Wendolkowski lived in Oak Ridge for 60 years and was a member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and was an oceanographer attached to a special engineering division during bomb testing at Bikini Atoll, Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean. He was a research chemist at Union Carbide Nuclear Division at the K-25 site until his retirement in 1984. According to his family, Mr. Wendolkowski was a man of diverse interests, including golfing, gardening, woodworking, and computers. His family said he loved to analyze the stock market and was treasurer and a founding member of the Ridge Ventures Stock Club. His family said he will be remembered as a devoted, loving husband and father, and a source of joy for many friends. Mr. Wendolkowski is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce O. Wendolkowski; two daughters, Debbie Godbold of Signal Mountain and Susan Bryant of Wildwood, Ga.; four grandchildren, Jamie Brennan, Chris Godbold, Kate Brennan and Andrew Godbold; and two sons-in-law, Bill Godbold and Chris Bryant. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Kern Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Flynn officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Born May 7, 1916, in Greene County, he was the son of John Andrew Bracken and Eveline Key Bracken. Mr. Bracken was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II and was a prisoner of war. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Kertis Bracken. Mr. Bracken is survived by nine nieces and nephews, Bud Bracken and Fonda Barnes, both of Oak Ridge, J.D. Bracken of South Dakota, James Bracken of Kentucky, Dorothy Cayat of Ohio, Imogene Bracken of Chuckey, and John Bracken, Kyle Bracken and Doris Moncier, all of Greeneville. The family will have a private viewing Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. A graveside service will be at noon Thursday, Sept. 18, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Greeneville. Marjorie Edith Jackson King, 82, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003. She was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army, and was a retired teacher at Daniel Arthur Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. King is survived by three daughters, Juanita Helen King, Susan Rene King and Bertha King Hussey and husband, Jeffery D.; her son, Harry Gilbert King III; a grandson, Jared King Hussey; three sisters, Helen Mary Docken, Laurel Jac kson Lee and June Jackson Wear and husband, William; and by three brothers, John Jackson, Sidney Jackson and wife, Emily, and Eugene Jackson and wife, Betty. Born Sept. 8, 1973, in Knoxville, she was the daughter of Sharon Ashley of Coalfield and Jack Weaver of Knoxville. She has lived in Chattanooga for the past five years and was employed as a waitress. In addition to her mother and her husband, Darryl, and her father, Ms. Lockhart is survived by two sons, Christopher Moore and Thomas Moore, both of Chattanooga; her sister, Jennifer Love of Knoxville; her stepsister, Courtney Ashley of Coalfield; her stepbrother, Cody Ashley of Coalfield; and by her grandmother, Christine Perry of Knoxville. The family will have a private viewing Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Knoxville. Lorraine Sterling Huff, 79, of Annapolis, Md., formerly of Oak Ridge, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, at Anne Arundel Medical Center, of congestive heart failure. She was born March 7, 1924, in Ohio. Mrs. Huff was a draftsman for the government in Oak Ridge and a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Annapolis and Daughters of the King. According to her family, she enjoyed raising African violets, arts, drawing, notepaper art and watercolors. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Huff, who died in 1987. Mrs. Huff is survived by three daughters, Cheryl H. Pruitt of Millersville, Md., Sandra Poffenberger of Mount Airy, Md., and Margaret Wesley of Cincinnati, Ohio; and by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral was Monday, Sept. 15, 2003, at Hardesty Funeral Home P.A. in Annapolis. Burial will be private.
