She had made her home for the past 4 years with her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Lee Gamble of Dandridge. She was a Charter Member of The Christian Church in Oak Ridge and a former member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Knoxville. She worked for AEC in Oak Ridge, Tenn. and General Dynamics and retired from Aerospace Corporation in Merritt Island, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Sarah French Montgomery; brothers, Lawrence and Carl; sister, Mary Lewellyn; step-sons, Roy and Earl Crockett. Survived by daughter and husband, Sarah and Lee Gamble; son and wife, Carl and Carolyn Crockett of Merritt Island, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; step-sons, Kenneth Crockett of Texas, Clarence Crockett of Florida; sister and husband, Alice Montgomery and Tom Raines, Sr. of Knoxville; brother-in-law, Dr. Truce Lewellyn of San Antonio, Texas; several nieces and nephews. GUY, RALPH VAN - age 75 of Dandridge, formerly of Lake City, died Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville. He was born August 15, 1928 in Clinton. He worked for Union Carbide/Martin Merritta for 40 years. Mr. Guy was preceded in death by: young son, Ralph Van Guy, Jr.; parents, Willie and Ruby Guy; sister, Betty Ballew, great grandson, Zachary Arender. LLOYD, CLEOPHUS - age 80 of Wartburg, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 17, 2003 at the St. Mary's Residential Hospice House in Knoxville, TN. He was born in Scott County to James Shafter and Marie Lloyd on March 31, 1923. Cleophus was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran and Korean Conflict U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1941-1951. He was a member of Mossy Grove Baptist Church, Past Master of Emerald Lodge No. 377, member of the Kerbela Temple, and was a Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star. Cleophus was an avid fisherman and handcrafted his own fishing lures to use and give away. His father, James Shafter Lloyd and sisters, Deola and Wanda Lloyd, preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Marie Lloyd; wife, Imogene Lloyd; sisters, Elva Roach and Reva Loy; daughters, Debbie and husband, Jerry McCoy and daughter Shasta, Karen and husband, Jim Bible and son James, Teresa and husband, Ronnie Trail and son, Cody and daughter, Gina; niece, Pam White; great-nieces, Sarah and Sierra White; nephews, Don and Jimmy Loy; great-nephew, Eli Loy. PRINCE, ROLAND - age 80, of Clinton, died Monday, November 17, 2003 at Fort Sanders Park West Medical Center. He was born August 27, 1923 in Woodville, Alabama, the son of Samuel and Verta Kenamer Prince, who are both deceased. Mr. Prince was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U. S. Army and he retired from the Army Reserves with the rank of Lt. Colonel. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1949 and was a 1951 graduate of the College of Law and held a BS in Business Administration. Mr. Prince began his law career in 1955 when he opened his practice. He then went into partnership with the late Howard Woodside. In 1956 he was elected to serve two terms as a legislator in the Tennessee House of Representatives. His partnership with Mr. Woodside ended in 1958 when Mr. Woodside was elected Trial Justice Judge. Mr. Prince and Harry Lillard opened a partnership in 1959 and that same year he was elected the first Oak Ridge City Judge. The Prince and Lillard Law Firm continued until 1962 when Mr. Prince was elected the Law and Equity Judge for Anderson County and he served in that position until 1974 when he was elected Chancellor Judge and continued there until his retirement in 1977. Mr. Prince was of the Presbyterian faith and enjoyed memberships in the Elks Lodge, the Ft. Loudoun Yacht Club, the Masonic Lodge of Gurley, Alabama and he was a Shriner with Kerbela Temple. He was also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Anderson County Bar Association and was active with the Anderson County Democratic Party. He is survived by, his wife, Sharon Moneymaker Prince; son, R. P. Prince and his wife Lisa of Oak Ridge; daughter, Nancy Prince of Oak Ridge; step-son, David Freels and his wife Christy of Nashville; 3 grandchildren, D. J. Freels of Nashville and Chase and Hunter Lankford of Clinton; and special friend, Harry Lillard. He was a dreamer who found thrill in life's smallest offerings and was never content to accept simple explanations. Paul was a member of Zion Baptist Church who attended both Roane State Community College and State Vocational School in Knoxville but spent his lifetime educating himself in the marvels of technology and the universe. A love of tinkering led him into carpentry work and from there the family operated business. Paul worked at Wall Machine alongside his father and brother until a tragic mishap rendered him unable to continue. Not only did Paul refuse to give into adversity, he continued to harbor a creative spirit, applying his self-learned intellect to assemble computers from the hard drive up as well as building a home and fostering a green thumb. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by: grandmother, Evelyn K. Morrow. Survivors: daughter, Amanda Wall Maurais of Claxton; son, Jason Tyler Wall of Clinton; parents, Elmer R.
