"TEX" - age 51, of Clinton, WATSON, LELAND E. - age 86 of Jacksboro ========================================= AUD, WILLIAM SENECA, JR. - age 76, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 15, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Knoxville. He was born June 5, 1927 in Herndon, Virginia. He was a member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, where he taught the adult men's Sunday school class. He was an Army Corporal Veteran of World War II and The Korean War. He was retired from The United States Department of Veterans Affairs where he was the Director of Congressional Liasons for The House Of Representatives. After retiring and moving to the Knoxville area, he became President of The Oak Ridge Country Club where he was an avid golfer. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Seneca Aud, Sr. and Eleanor Aud; sisters, Mary Mullins and a brother, Michael Larkin. Survivors: wife, Betty Cox Aud of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Susan Jahn of Hilo, Hawaii, Elizabeth Lamson and husband, William, of Roanoke, VA and Julia Schworm and husband, Richard, of Marrion, Mass.; sisters-in-law, Micky Fox and husband, Lester, Jean Aloi and husband, Tony and Brenda Letner, all of Clinton, TN; brothers-in-law, Jake Cox and wife, Sandy, of Lake City, TN, Roger Cox and wife, Shirley, of Clinton, TN and Billy George (Babe) Cox, of Lake City, TN; grandsons, Brian and Bradley Jahn of Riverside, CA; special friends, Guy and Shirley Grove of Front Royal, VA; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, TN. The memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Thomas Sweet officiating. A private interment service will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at Leach Cemetery in Lake City, TN. She had made her home for the past 4 years with her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Lee Gamble of Dandridge. She was a Charter Member of The Christian Church in Oak Ridge and a former member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Knoxville. She worked for AEC in Oak Ridge, Tenn. and General Dynamics and retired from Aerospace Corporation in Merritt Island, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Sarah French Montgomery; brothers, Lawrence and Carl; sister, Mary Lewellyn; step-sons, Roy and Earl Crockett. Survived by daughter and husband, Sarah and Lee Gamble; son and wife, Carl and Carolyn Crockett of Merritt Island, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; step-sons, Kenneth Crockett of Texas, Clarence Crockett of Florida; sister and husband, Alice Montgomery and Tom Raines, Sr. of Knoxville; brother-in-law, Dr. Truce Lewellyn of San Antonio, Texas; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wartburg and a much loved lady of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Kidd; sons, Ray and Bob Kidd; grandson, Sid Kidd; sister, Helen Bradley; and brother, John Puckett. She is survived by: daughter, Gayle Kidd Wilson; grandsons Ross and Dean Kidd; granddaughters, Lisa Bushey, Laura Hipsher, and Emily Griffith; brother, Dale Smith. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 22, 2003 from 10 a.m. to 11a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. A graveside service will immediately follow in Wartburg City Cemetery. Schubert Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. LANE, CLYDE I. - 77 of Oak Ridge died at the Methodist Medical Center on November 15, 2003. Born in Englevale, Kansas on February 26, 1926. Mr. Lane lived in Oak Ridge for the past 28 years. He belonged to a Baptist church. Mr. Lane was very proud of being a member of the USAF, serving from 1944 til 1976 and retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Mr. Lane was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Air Force SGT. Association, the American Legion, Toastmasters. and the NRA. He was preceded in death by his parents John Louis and Irkle Baysinger Lane.Survivors include: wife, Anna Parrett Lane; daughter, Darlene Lane-Mabey and husband, William J. Mabey, Jr.; sisters, LaVena Lawson, Opal Shankel, Dorothy Mullins, and Nadine Steele.
