    2. >From The Oak Ridger 18 Nov 18 2003 Clyde I. Lane, 77, of Oak Ridge, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born Feb. 26, 1926, in Englevale, Kan., he was the son of John Louis and Irkle Baysinger Lane. Mr. Lane lived in Oak Ridge for the past 28 years. He belonged to a Baptist church. Mr. Lane was a member of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1944 to 1976. He retired with the rank of senior master sergeant. Mr. Lane was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel, and a member of the Air Force SGT Association, American Legion, Toastmasters and National Rifle Association. Mr. Lane is survived by his wife, Anna Parrett Lane; his daughter, Darlene Lane-Mabey and husband, William J. Mabey Jr.; and by four sisters, LaVena Lawson, Opal Shankel, Dorothy Mullins and Nadine Steele. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Military rites will be provided by the Volunteer State War Era Honor guards. The family requests that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Air Force Widow's Home, 92 Sunset Lane, Shalimar, FL 32579-1000.
