She was born in Valley Creek, and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her soul mate, John W. Irwin; mother, Helen Marie Shea; stepfather, James L. Shea; sister, Charlotte Edwards; father, Earl Edwards; stepmother, Georgia; brother-in-law, Dorman Morgan and grandson, Delfino. Everett was born October 24, 1919 in Lothair, Ky. He was a devoted husband and father, enjoyed gardening, fishing, coal mining, working in his yard, wood and metal work in his garage. He was superintendent of Volunteer Mining Corporation in Devonia from 1968-1983. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Sue; parents, A. S. and Polly Couch Davidson; sister, Henrietta D. Collins; brother, Adeliah Davidson. A native of Campbell County, Tennessee, Cliff was the oldest son of the late Thomas and Myrtle Huddleston. He served in the United States Air Force from 1949 to 1952. He was retired from Lucent Technologies in 1989 after 36 years of service. In 1954, he met and married the love of his life, Catherine, with whom he spent 45 years until her passing in 1999. Jess is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Huddleston, sister, Bessie Marie Huddleston, both of LaFollette. Johnson, 69, Knoxville, died Friday, October 24, 2003 at the UT Medical Center of Knoxville. She was born July 24, 1934 in Anderson County. Mary enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and listening to country music. She was of the Baptist faith. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Myrtle Fritts Isabel; husbands, Clyde Braden and Clyde Hayes; brother, Condy Isabell; sisters, Pearl Daugherty, Marie Tackett and Bonnie Smith. He was retired from the US Navy having served 20 years and came to this area from Florida a year and a half ago to help care for his mother JoAnn Stevens. One of his favorite past times was working on his Mustang. Larry was preceded in death by his brother, John Keith Lively. Jack J. Phillips, 78, died Friday, October 24, 2003 at his home. He was born August 5, 1925 at Red Oak Mountain. He was a coalminer for about 30 years and also worked for the County Highway Department for the State Forestry Division and for the State on I-75 fencing. He was saved a few days before his was 17 years old and joined the Red Oak Church. He sang in the choir as a bass singer for about 12 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. James and Sarah Byrge Phillips; three sisters, Cressie Phillips, Eva Bunch and Reba Chapman; five uncles, Joe, Matthew, John, Melt and Bill Phillips; three aunts, Elizabeth Daugherty, Mary Byrge and Emily Buckheart and son-in-law, George Wieber. She was born in Winchester, IN. on January 17, 1947 and had lived in Richmond before moving to Tennessee one year ago. She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Brimm and brother, William M. Sheppard. Florence is survived by her husband of 18 years, Ernie Eugene Renner (to whom she was married 18 years); step-sons, Leland Renner, Tenn., Ivan Renner, Josh Renner; sister, Vickie Jones, all three from Richmond. He was a member of the Davis Chapel Community Baptist Church. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a veteran of World War II. He also enjoyed farming. Charles will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
