It's on page 4 of Scott Co Historical Society's publication Obituaries from The West Union Association United Baptists' Minutes (1893-1946) and it's just a single paragraph as part of the 1895 obituaries which says: Nancy Byrd was a member of the Baptist Church for many years, and has had many trials and troubles during her pilgrimage here. She leaves a wicked husband, with several children, to mourn her loss. May her labors on earth be rewarded by the conversion of her husband, and may her children, who are as yet unsaved, learn to love and serve the lord. Her maiden name was Chitwood, b. April 4, 1857, in Scott Co., d. Feb. 15, 1894. She and Melton Asbury Byrd had eight children, only three of which are believed to have survived to adulthood.
