ELSIE MAE (PEACE) - age 71 of Andersonville, ============================================ BYRGE, B. L. - age 64, of Clinton passed away Friday, October 03, 2003 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced by Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. DAY, MILDRED AUDREY - age 82, of the Claxton community, passed away Thursday afternoon at her home, with her family by her side. Mildred was born July 14, 1921 in Whitley County, Kentucky. She was originally from Rockholt, Kentucky & moved to Anderson County in 1950. She was a devoted wife, mother & also raised several foster children. She enjoyed sewing, painting, crocheting & was a favorite among local crafters. She was a longtime member of Batley Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, George Leon Day; sons, Gary Elliott & Willis Ray Meadows; parents, Joe & Lela Rollins Elliott. Survivors: son, Cleve Day & wife, Laurie of Claxton, David Day & Lisa of Knoxville; daughter, Oletha Day of Clinton; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Elliott & wife, Christine of Kentucky; sister-in-law, Lillian Day of Clinton; several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2003 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with Rev. Luke Kidwell officiating. Interment will follow the service at Batley Baptist Church cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton in charge of all arrangements. GOAD, GLADYS EVELYN SCOTT age - 91 years of Deer Lodge, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2003 in the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and three brothers. She is survived by her husband, William (Will) J. Goad of Deer Lodge; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and James Weber of Hermitage, TN and Barbara and Perry Hutson of Deer Lodge; sons and daughters-in-law, Billie Joe and Mattie Goad of Sunbright, Bernard Goad of Deer Lodge, and Jack and Bonnie Goad of Burrville; seven grandchildren, James Weber, Jr., John Weber, Alexis Goad Shannon, Laurinda Gayle Goad, Gloria Suzanne Goad, William Wilkinson, and Brian Goad; three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, and Ian Weber. The family will receive friends at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright on Sunday evening, October 5, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Edwin Cloud officiating with Bro. Tom Mooty assisting. Interment will follow in Annadale Cemetery. POWELL, MRS. ELSIE MAE (PEACE) - age 71 of Andersonville, passed away Wednesday evening, October 1, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by father & mother, Curtis & Hazel Peace; brother, Fred Peace; husband, Donnie Powell; son, Michael Powell. Survivors: grandson, Brandon Blade Powell; sisters and brother-in-laws, Joann Smelser, Bonnie and Doug Warwick, Betty and Luther Flatford; brother, Curtis Peace Jr.; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Interment 2:00 p.m. Saturday at New Loyston Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be nephews and brother-in-laws. Ailor Mortuary, Maynardville in charge of arrangements.
