Jones, 73, of Harriman, ============================================ Roberta Frances Flodstrom, 66, of Oak Ridge, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born Nov. 25, 1936, in Malden, Mass., she was the daughter of Robert and Idella Bowie Hargreaves, both now deceased. Mrs. Flodstrom was a homemaker and a member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi International and Alpha Beta Council of Knoxville. She was a graduate of Malden High School. According to her family, her hobbies included quilting, needlepoint, countered cross-stitching and reading. She was a member of the Wellness Community of East Tennessee and the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Flodstrom is survived by her husband, Robert D. Flodstrom; three sons, Keith Flodstrom and wife, Jennifer, of Boulder, Colo., Scott Flodstrom and wife, Donna, New Market, N.H., and Robert B. Flodstrom and wife, Caroli, of Milford, Mass; a daughter, Kimberly Brinkman and husband, Bart, of Oak Ridge; six grandchildren, Craig Flodstrom and Holly Flodstrom, both of New Market, Matthew Flodstrom and Ryan Flodstrom, both of Milford, and Cameron Brinkman and Caleb Brinkman, both of Oak Ridge; a great-grandson, Tyler Flodstrom of New Market; two sisters, Jean Rundlett of Watertown, Mass., and Isabelle Kelley of Fort Myers, Fla.; and by several nieces and nephews in Massachusetts and Florida. Gary and Marsha Sega and Victor and Barbara Kaminsky are considered special friends. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at Kern Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Flynn officiating. Nichols, 80, of Knoxville, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at Fort Sanders Parkwest Medical Center. Mr. Nichols was born Dec. 17, 1922, in Fonde, Ky., and was a member of Binghamtown Baptist Church. He was an ordained Baptist minister for 50 years. Mr. Nichols was retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems and a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and by six brothers and sisters. Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife, Odell Nichols; his son, Kenneth Wayne Nichols of Indonesia; his daughter, Meta Sue Latham of Scottsboro, Ala.; four grandchildren, Bent Latham, Kent Latham, Kinsley Nichols and Jonathan Nichols; three stepchildren, Larry Seiber, Diana Ladley and Steve Seiber, all of Michigan; five stepgrandchildren, Kristin Seiber, Lissa Seiber, Tonya Seiber, Billy Seiber and Michael Ladley; and by a stepgreat-grandchild, Yuasman Seiber. Charlie Goins, Obie Goins and Lynn Goins are considered special friends. The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Ky., with the Rev. William Boyd Bingham, the Rev. Dr. W.B. Bingham and the Rev. Trevor Barton. Music will be provided by the Binghamtown Baptist Church choir and Thomasa Risner. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Binghamtown Baptist Church and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Gray, 87, of Oak Ridge, formerly of Overland Park, Kan., died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at NHC HealthCare. Born June 1, 1916, in Lawrence, Kan., she was the daughter of Chester A. and Marie Johanna Broer Moody. Mrs. Gray came to Oak Ridge about seven years ago to be near her daughter. She was a member of the Roanoke-Epworth United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Mo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Gray on Dec. 2, 1994. Mrs. Gray is survived by two daughters, Connie Sue English and husband, J. David, of Oak Ridge, and Marsha A. Hickson and husband, Robert W., of Chandler, Ariz.; a sister, Alberta Boles of Overland Park; four grandchildren, Lori A. Hickson and Robert B. Hickson, both of Chandler, Kerri S. Fuller and husband, Chris, of Conyers, Ga., and James Donald English and wife, Jennifer, of Athens, Ga.; and by two great-grandchildren, Grayson Dean Fuller and Benjamin C. Fuller, both of Conyers. A graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at McGilley and Hoge Funeral Home in Overland Park. Weatherford Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements. Barbara Elizabeth Hill, 77, of Clinton, Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born May 9, 1926, in Corbin, Ky., she was the daughter of Everett W. and Edith Jones Dwche. According to her family, Mrs. Hill was a devoted mother of two children and most of her interests revolved around her family. Her family said some of her interests included Brownie and Girl Scout leader and Boy Scout leader, and her hobbies included playing bridge, gardening and reading. Mrs. Hill was the first female to graduate in civil engineering at the University of Kentucky in 1948. She worked in Oak Ridge at Oak Ridge National Laboratory with the Cyclotron Design Group. Mrs. Hill is survived by her husband, R. Ellis Hill; her son, Dr. Steven E. Hill and wife, Ann W., of Chapel Hill, N.C.; her daughter, Barbara J. Thornton and husband, Peter, of Providence, R.I.; and by three grandchildren, Kristin Hill, Tamara Hill and Brittany Hill, all of Chapel Hill, N.C. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at United Memorial Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Thomas officiating.
