Visitation 1:00-3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2003, at the Hatmaker Funeral Home. Funeral service 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2003, at the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at the Leach Cemetery, Lake City, Tenn. Hatmaker Funeral Home, in Lake City, in charge of arrangements. GRANT, MR. LLOYD MILTON - age 76, of LaFollette, passed away Friday, October 3, 2003, at the St. Mary's Health and Rehab Center of Campbell County. He was preceded in death by parents, Silas Mlton and Josie Sharp Grant. Mr. Grant is survived by wife, Helen Grant of LaFollette; sons, Lloyd Michael Grant of Prince George, Va.; step son, Lynn Bullock of Knoxville; step daughter, Louise Hinch of Powder Springs, Ga.; granddaughters, Rachael and Lauren Grant; grandson, Daniel Grant, all of Hopewell, Va.; four great-grandchildren and five step grandchildren; brothers, Silas Grant of Lafollette; sisters, Begie Hatmaker of Shoshone, Idaho, Vivian Carroll of Dayton, Ohio, Betty Lee Shetterly of Caryville, Tenn., Aileen Hill of Jacksboro, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Sunday, October 5, in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev Ralph Cordell officiating. Interment will be Tuesday in Sunset Memorial Park in Chester, Va. LAY, JACK ROBERT - age 77, of Lake City, passed away suddenly Sunday, October 4, 2003, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn. He was of the Baptist faith. Jack was a retired precision machinist with Fulton County. He was in the United States Marine Corps. He was a mason and in good standing with the Shriners. He was born February 5, 1926, in Anderson County, Tenn. Jack loved spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Flora Ison Lay; sisters, Edith Richardson and Ruby Parks; brother, Edward Lay and step son, Bobby Lynn Goodman. Survivors: wife, Emma Sue Lay of Lake City, Tenn.; son, Charles Martin Lay of Lake City, Tenn.; niece, Donna Lee McCarter and husband, Sam of Kingston, Tenn.; nephews, Paul Wayne Richardson and wife, Sandra Lee of Jacksboro, Tenn., Michael Edward Richardson of Knoxville, Tenn., Lonnie Parks and wife, Mary of Lake City, Tenn., Don Parks and wife, Carol of Lake City, Tenn., and Evertte Parks of Lake City, Tenn.; sisters-in-law, Janice Goodman of Jacksboro, Tenn., Jo Ann Martin of Lake City, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Cecil Martin and wife, Jenny of Ravenwood, West Virginia; special friends, Diane Higgs of Lake City, Tenn., Patty Tweed of Lake City, Tenn., and several great nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends. LOY, JAMES A. - age 50, of Clinton, Tenn., passed away at his residence, Saturday, October 4, 2003. Member of South Clinton Baptist Church. Veteran of the U. S. Navy. Preceded in death by his father, Roy Loy. Survivors: son, Alex Loy of Clinton; mother, Helen Loy of Clinton; sister, Alice Fay Loy of Clinton; brothers, David Loy of Clinton, William and his wife, Rochelle Loy of Clinton, and several other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2003. Private graveside services will be conducted at a later date at Farmers Grove Cemetery. REED, JOHN HOUSTON, SR. - age 96, of Crisman Rd., Heiskell, Tenn., passed away Saturday, October 4, 2003, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of West Lonsdale Baptist Church. Retired from Southern Extract Co. in Knoxville, as a Supervisor for 47 years. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Leona Reed; parents, Mark and Violet Green Reed; son, John Houston Reed, Jr.; sister, Ellen Hatmaker, and brothers, Charlie Reed and Luther Reed. Survivors: grandchildren, Kimberly and her husband, Mark Hatmaker of Heiskell, David H. and his wife, Angela Reed of Clinton; great-grandchildren, Bradley Cowan, Whitney Hatmaker, Camille and her husband, Dan Stump, Eric Coffman, and Carla Richardson; great-great grandchildren, Charles Andrew Stump and Sara Stump; daughter-in-law, Wanda Reed; sisters, Alice Williams of Louisiana; sisters-in-law, Helen Graham of Claxton, Ruby Baker of Halls; nephew, Jimmy and his wife, Pat Reed and their children, Ashley and Megan; cousins, Lindsay and Mavis Reed. Funeral services 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2003, Holley-Gamble Chapel, Rev. George Gilbert and Rev. Jay Gaylon officiating. Interment will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Reed, Lindsay Reed, Mark Hatmaker, Dan Stump, Ralph Norris, Jimmy Ailor, Skip Ailor, and Lackie Cox. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, in Clinton, Tenn. ROACH, EARL - age 86 of Caryville, Tenn., passed away Friday, October 3, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Knoxville. He was a member and deacon of Shultz Hollow Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by 1st wife, Della Wilson Roach; parents, John & Nettie Roach; sister, Tressie Rhea and brothers Arlie & Harold Roach. Survivors: wife, Lerah Clotfelter Roach of Caryville, Tenn.; daughter, Joyce Taylor & husband, LeRoy of Caryville; son, Lonnie Roach & wife, Sue of Knoxville; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Lena Kate Kidwell of Clinton; brother in law, Homer Clotfelter & wife, Willie Mae of LaFollette, Tenn.; special nephew & niece, Dennis & Betty Clotfelter of Caryville; special friend, B.
