>From The Oak Ridger 21 Oct 2003 Joe Lee Quilliams, 67, of Oliver Springs, Julia "Judy" Lowe Butler, 77, of Kingston, ========================================= Joe Lee Quilliams, 67, of Oliver Springs, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Lee and Dolly Morgan Quilliams; and by two sisters, Ruth Whitson and Gladys Cardwell. Mr. Quilliams is survived by his wife, Patsy Sue Whitson Quilliams; two daughters, Kay Edmonds and husband, Doug, and Ladeana Roberts and husband, Charley; his son, Johnny Lyn Quilliams; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and by four sisters, Alberta Lewelling, Stella Allen, Cleo Lewelling and Geraldine Perkenson. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, at Woodhaven Funeral Home in Claxton. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Julia "Judy" Lowe Butler, 77, of Kingston, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. She was the daughter of Grover and Cleo Lowe. Mrs. Butler was a lifelong resident of East Tennessee and an avid UT Volunteer fan. She retired from Martin Marietta with 42 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Herman Reed Butler Jr.; two brothers, Glen Murph Lowe and Donald Leon Lowe; her twin sister, Alta Curtis; a sister, Imogene Berry; a step-sister, Virginia Hodges; and by her aunt, Flora Lowe. Mrs. Butler is survived by four daughters, Pat Helms of Knoxville, Susan Butler of Kingston, Kathy Woodard and husband, Winn, of Springfield, and Lisa Light and husband, Eddie, of Clinton; a sister, Louisa Hodge of Knoxville; and by nine grandchildren, Chad Helms and wife, Pamela, and Jeana Watkins and husband, Jonathan, all of Knoxville, Chris Helms, Eddie Light and Ashley Light, all of Nashville, Jason Woodard and Beth Woodard, both of Springfield, and Shelby Light and Samantha Light, both of Clinton. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Tristan Cox of Bloomington, Ill., and Jacob Watkins, Jared Watkins and Taylor Helms, all of Knoxville; a brother-in-law, Tim Butler; and by several extended family members including 18 nieces and nephews, 25 grandnieces and grandnephews, and 25 great-nieces and great-nephews. Sara Johnson, Bobbie Sue Phillips and Bobbie Butler are considered sisters of the heart, and Desma Blair is considered a special friend. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Reed Shell officiating. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
