She was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Lenoir City, the daughter of Earl Jones and Ruby Quillen Jones. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and was a member of the Women's Club. She graduated from Lenoir City High School and attended business college. She worked for Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant until the birth of her son. Her family said she enjoyed gardening, reading, needlework and playing with her granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her father and by a brother, James Jones. Survivors include her husband, Hobart Keating; her mother; one son, Michael Keating of Vidalia, Ga. and by a special friend, Gracie Desimone. A graveside service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2003 at Anderson Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jack Sills officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Maude Wallace Henderson, 99, of Clinton, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at the NHC Healthcare Center. She was a member of Clinton First Baptist Church. She was born Aug. 2, 1903, in Anderson County, the daughter of D.A. and Martha Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Henderson. Survivors include, a son and daughter-in-law, Wallace and Margie Henderson of Clinton; a daughter, Martha Jean Henderson of Briarcliff Healthcare; two brothers, Walter Wallace of Andersonville; and Roy and wife, Thena Wallace of Knoxville; a sister, Edith and husband, Glen Fox of New Market; many nieces & nephews. The family will receive 7-8:30 pm, Thursday, April 17, 2003, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Friday at Woodhaven Memory Gardens in Claxton. Wilma Jean Wilson, 62, of Lake City, died Monday, April 14, 2003 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was born Aug. 6, 1940 in Anderson County. She was a member of Guiding Star Baptist Church in Lake City and was retired from M&M Mars in Cleveland. Her family said she was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Kindred Wilson; her husband, Homer Wilson Sr.; and by her sister, Betty Seymanski. Survivors include her father, Chesley Jackson of Lake City; a son, Homer Wilson Jr. of Cleveland; a grandson, Byron Lee Wilson of Cleveland; two brothers, Kenneth and wife, Margaret Jackson, and Terry and wife, Norma Jackson, all of Lake City; four sisters, Brenda Smith of Oliver Springs, Robin Rains and husband, Kenneth, and Andrea Dotson, all of Lake City, Tonya and husband, J.C. Hooks, of Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2003 in the chapel of the Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Johnny Rains officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m., Thursday at the Leach Cemetery in Lake City. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mark Edward Smith, 44, of Lenoir City, formerly of Elizabethton, died Monday, April 14, 2003 at St. Mary's Hospice. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lenoir City and an employee of Y-12 National Security Complex where he was a computer analyst. His family said he loved karate and running. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Packett Smith; his parents, Earl and Edna Smith of Elizabethton; two brothers, Tony Smith of Bristol and Mike Smith of Maryland and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2003 in the chapel of the Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City with the Rev. Dick DeMerchant and the Rev. Bill Wilkinson officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for a 10 a.m. graveside service.
