Health Care Center. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Clinton. Frances and her late husband, Clyde Crowe owned and operated the Oak Ridge Christian Supply Center and the Christian Book Store in Oliver Springs for approximately 30 years. She was preceded in death by parents, Horace and Grace Jones; husband, William Clyde Crowe, and infant daughter, Wilma Ruth Crowe. Survivors: daughter, Lila Pettet and husband, Gene of Clinton; grandchildren, Deborah Scott and husband, David of Knoxville, Edward Pettet and wife, Renea of Clinton, Theresa Purdy and husband, Mark of Clinton, and Terrell Pettet and wife, Pam of Knoxville; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Johnson and husband, James of Mentone, Ala.; nephew, Fred Johnson and wife, Susan of Rainsville, Ala., and niece, Sue Rickman and husband, Mickey of Clemson, S.C. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2003, Central Standard Time at the Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Payne, Alabama. She was a member of Clinton First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, D.A. & Martha Wallace; husband, Carl Henderson. She was born August 2, 1903 in Anderson County. Survivors: son & daughter- in-law, Wallace & Margie Henderson of Clinton; daughter, Martha Jean Henderson of Briarcliff Healthcare in Oak Ridge; brother, Walter Wallace of Andersonville; brother & sister-in-law, Roy & Thena Wallace of Knoxville; sister & brother-in-law, Edith & Glen Fox of New Market; many nieces & nephews. HICKS, MARY ELLEN - age 54 of Duff, passed away Tuesday morning, April 15, at St. Mary's Medical Center Campbell County. She was a member of New Freedom Community Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Daniel Hicks and her father, Frank Williamson. She is survived by her son, John Wesley Cox; grandson, Jason Lee Cox; mother, Mildred Williamson; brother, Kenneth Williamson all of Duff; sister, Frankie Hicks, LaFollette. Mrs. Melton was born June 8, 1916 in Anderson County. REDMON, RALPH ELMER - age 82, of Oliver Springs, died Monday, April 14, 2003 at the Methodist Medical Center. He was born October 12, 1920 in Morgan County, the son of the late Murruel Redmon and Anna Bardill Redmon. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army. Mr. Redmon retired from Union Carbide Corp / Y-12 where he was a Salvage Yard keeper. He was a member of Beech Park Baptist Church in Oliver Springs, the Disabled American Veterans, and Faith Masonic Lodge #756 of Oak Ridge. Mr. Redmon had worked the election commission voting polls at Norwood Elementary School since 1955. His hobbies included fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Bryson Redmon, April 27, 1998 and by a brother, Russell Redmon in March 2003. He is survived by: sons, Cecil Redmon of Oliver Springs and Paul Redmon and his wife Nancy of Kingston; brother, Allen Redmon of Wartburg; sister, Ruth Bullens of Wartburg; grandchildren, Brandy Redmon of Kingston; Lora-Leigh Redmon Moneymaker of Knoxville and Leann Redmon of Los Alamos, NM; great grandchildren, Benita Vigorito and Teddy Moneymaker; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Daniel B. and Sue Braden and Bruce and Michelle Seibers and family, all of Oliver Springs. A Masonic Service will be held at 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2003, led by members of Faith Masonic Lodge #756. The funeral service will follow at 8:15 p.m. with Rev. Robbie Leach officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with military honors led by the Volunteer State War Era Honor Guard.
