    2. >From The Oak Ridger 15 Apr 2003 Frances Louise Crowe, 83, of Clinton, James Edward "Ed" Aslinger, 65, of Oliver Springs, Ralph Elmer Redmon, 82, of Oliver Springs, Delcie Keating, 79, of Oak Ridge, ===================================== Frances Louise Crowe, 83, of Clinton, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at NHC HealthCare of Oak Ridge. She was the daughter of Horace and Grace Jones. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Clinton. She and her husband owned and operated the Oak Ridge Christian Supply Center and the Christian Book Store in Oliver Springs for approximately 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clyde Crowe and by an infant daughter, Wilma Ruth Crowe. Survivors include a daughter, Lila Pettet and husband, Gene, of Clinton; four grandchildren, Deborah Scott and husband, David, and Terrell Pettet and wife, Pam, all of Knoxville, Edward Pettet and wife, Renea, and Theresa Purdy and husband, Mark, all of Clinton; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Johnson and husband, James, of Mentone, Ala.; a nephew, Fred Johnson and wife, Susan, of Rainsville, Ala. and a niece, Sue Rickman and husband, Mickey, of Clemson, S.C. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Bankhead Cemetery in Mentone, Ala., with the Rev. Randy Addison and the Rev. Troy Keaton and the Rev. Samuel Condon officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of local arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. (CST) Tuesday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Payne, Ala. James Edward "Ed" Aslinger, 65, of Oliver Springs, died Sunday, April 13, 2003 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born July 24, 1938, at Windrock, the son of Gordon Aslinger and Flora Webb Aslinger. He was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a member of the Union Valley Baptist Church and was a retired coal miner. He worked in the Devonia area coal mines and retired from the Windrock Coal Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Junior Aslinger, Robert Aslinger and J.B. Aslinger. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Lively Aslinger; two daughters, Elaine Garrett and husband, John, of Harriman and Gloria Harness and husband, Tiny, of Frost Bottom; a son, James Logan Aslinger of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Tracy Jackson, Westley Garrett, Drew Aslinger, Skyler Aslinger, Kayla Edwards, Chance Mullins and Haley Mullins; two brothers, Kenneth Aslinger of the Batley community and Estil Aslinger of Oliver Springs; a sister, Lorene Aslinger of Coalfield; several nieces and nephews and two special nieces, Gail Lively and Robin Cole; and special friends, Becky Foster and the Rev. Wayne Morgan, both of Oliver Springs. The funeral will be 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2003, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with the Revs. James Foster and Wayne Morgan officiating. A graveside service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday April 16, at Indian Creek Cemetery in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Randy Griffis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Ralph Elmer Redmon, 82, of Oliver Springs, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born Oct. 12, 1920, in Morgan County, the son of the late Murruel Redmon and Anna Bardill Redmon. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. Mr. Redmon retired from Union Carbide Corp./Y-12 plant where he was a salvage yard keeper. He was a member of Beech Park Baptist Church in Oliver Springs, the Disabled American Veterans and Faith Masonic Lodge No. 756 of Oak Ridge. Mr. Redmon had worked the election commission voting polls at Norwood Elementary School since 1955. His hobbies included fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Bryson Redmon, and by a brother, Russell Redmon. He is survived by two sons, Cecil Redmon of Oliver Springs and Paul Redmon and his wife, Nancy, of Kingston; a brother, Allen Redmon of Wartburg; a sister, Ruth Bullens of Wartburg; grandchildren, Brandy Redmon of Kingston, Lora-Leigh Redmon Moneymaker of Knoxville and Leann Redmon of Los Alamos, N.M.; great-grandchildren, Benita Vigorito and Teddy Moneymaker; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Daniel B. and Sue Braden and Bruce and Michelle Seibers and family, all of Oliver Springs. A Masonic service will be at 8 p.m.,Wednesday, April 16, 2003, led by members of Faith Masonic Lodge No. 756. The funeral will follow at 8:15 p.m. with the Rev. Robbie Leach officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 17, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family requests that memorials be in the form of contributions to Beech Park Baptist Church Building Fund, 519 West Tri-County Blvd., Oliver Springs, TN 37840. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Weatherford Mortuary. Delcie Keating, 79, of Oak Ridge, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
