>From The Knoxville News Sentinel 7 Apr 2002 FRIZZELL, DUKE RODGERS, JR. - age 50, of Oliver Springs, formerly of Oak Ridge, JUSTICE, MAXIE HUDSON - age 91, a resident of Coalfield, ===================================== FRIZZELL, DUKE RODGERS, JR. - age 50, of Oliver Springs, formerly of Oak Ridge, died at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, on Saturday, April 5, 2003. Born in Chattanooga, Tenn., to parents, Duke Rodgers and Kathryn Elizabeth Tribble Frizzell. Duke came to Oak Ridge from Chattanooga in 1952. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, and playing golf. A former Golden Glove Champion, and a member of the Moose Lodge. Preceded in death by mother, Kathryn Elizabeth Frizzell, 5-2-76, and father, Duke Frizzell, Sr., 11-21-93. Survivors include step mother, Sue Crump Frizzell of Oak Ridge; brother, Lovell "Be Bo" Frizzell and wife, Caffie of Chattanooga; sister, Andrea Moore of Oak Ridge; two nephews, Gary Lagstrom of Carmichael, Calif., and Mark Frizzell and wife, Gale of Chattanooga; great-niece, Bailey Frizzell of Chattanooga; special friend, Becky Douglas of Petros, and numerous friends and relatives. The family requests, memorials be made to Knoxville Area Rescue Ministry, 418 North Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37917. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary on Wednesday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge. JUSTICE, MAXIE HUDSON - age 91, a resident of Coalfield, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Justice was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Glenn Justice, by her parents, Charles Hudson and Cassie Scarbrough Hudson, by two children, James Edwin Justice and Wanda Jane Justice, and by six brothers and sisters. Survivors: daughter, Lottie Jackson and husband, Herman of Coalfield; son, Douglas Justice and wife Phyllis of Augusta, Georgia; grandchildren, Pam Whitus, Rick Jackson, Jeane Dukes, Roger Jackson, Greg Justice, Loring Justice, Dr. Anthony Justice, Mark Justice and Debbie Teasley; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother, Paul Hudson and wife, Jean of Loyall, Ky., and daughter-in-law, Alice Justice of Coalfield. Mrs. Justice was born August 16, 1911, in Morgan County. She was a lifelong resident of Morgan County. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she was very active in the church choir. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Sunrise Chapter #364 of Petros, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home with Rev. Mack Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial and graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 9, at 11:00 a.m. at Estes Cemetery of Coalfield.
