Crossville Chronicle obit... Lois H. McCollum Jan. 28, 1937 - June 22, 2003 Lois Hicks McCollum, 66, of Jamestown, passed away June 22, 2003. Funeral services were conducted June 24 from the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home in Jamestown, with burial in Old Barger Cemetery in Tinchtown. Bro. Don Hinds officiated. Mrs. McCollum was born Jan. 28, 1937 in Jamestown, TN, the daughter of Clary Dee Hicks and Delta Leona Winningham Hicks. She worked at the Senior Citizens Center and was a cook at Tinch School. Survivors include her husband, Robert Gene McCollum of Jamestown; sons and daughter-in-law, Barney and Sheri Hicks and Jimmy Lee Hicks, all of Tinchtown; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda (Strunk) and Richard Bowmer of Jamestown and Lisa (Strunk) and Coy Allen Kidd of Oneida; grandchildren, Ashley (Bowmer) Garrett, Casey Bowmer and Tiffany Bowmer, all of Jamestown, and Coy Daniel Kidd and Chelsey Kidd of Oneida; sister, Sarah Elizabeth (Hicks) Hoover of Crossville; stepchildren, Ronnie McCollum of Dayton, OH, Richard McCollum, Tommy McCollum and Starla Griffith, all of Lapel, IN, Kathy Wilson of Jamestown and Roger Strunk of Oneida; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Junior Dee Hicks; and sister, Lilly Mae Hicks. Pallbearers were Bennie Hicks, Ricky Honeycutt, Gregory Hicks, William Brown, Jason Brown and Rex Cronwell. Jennings Funeral Home in Jamestown was in charge of the arrangements.
