She was preceded in death by husband, Carl B. Bridges, Sr.; daughter, Maxine Noe Thompson and grandson, Darryl Thompson. Survived by sons, Robert C. McConkey, Sr. and John E. McConkey, both of Knoxville; sisters, Beulah Mason Kerr Nobel of Texas, and Edna C. Byers of Boston, Mass.; grandchildren, John E. McConkey, II, Laury McConkey Hembree, Valerie McDaniel, Randy Thompson, Scott Thompson, Tracy Thompson, Cathy McConkey Morrison, Robert C. McConkey, Jr., Michael E. McConkey, Douglas R. McConkey, Nancy McConkey Nolen and Cindy McConkey Cox; twenty-two great- grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Atty. General, E.E. Creswell and Polly Ogle Creswell of Sevierville. Eleanor and the late former husband, Robert L. McConkey owned and operated McConkey Drug Store on Clinton Hwy. for many years. She was a charter member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church and a Saints Alive Member. Ms. Bridges was also employed by the Y- 12 Plant in Oak Ridge during World War II. Family and friends will meet at the mausoleum chapel of Woodhaven Memorial Gardens on Edgemoor Rd. in Claxton at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2003, for an 11 a.m. entombment service with Rev. Carl Bridges, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Tenn. Chapter, 446 Metroplex Dr. Suite A, 200 Nashville, Tenn. 37211-3112. Friends may call at their convenience on Monday June 9, 2003, at Mynatt Funeral Home. NELSON, JAMES B. - age 57, of 191 Willow Tree Lane, Jacksboro, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2003, at his home. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Nelson was a member of the Stooksbury Masonic Lodge #602 F&AM, Scottish Rite Mason of Knoxville. He loved fishing and four wheeling. He was preceded in death by mother, Bertha Nelson and brother, Veldon Nelson. Mr. Nelson is survived by wife, Anna Nelson; daughters, Patricia Nelson Damewood, and Laura Hatfield, all of Jacksboro; father, Millard Nelson of LaFollette; brothers, Glen, Ronald, and Marshall Nelson, all of LaFollette, Rev. Donald Nelson of Jacksboro, Johnny and Vernon Nelson, both of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Virgil and Laddie Nelson of Center, Ky.; sisters, Kathleen Reynolds of LaFollette, Janice Suggs of Dayton, Ohio, Reva McGurk of West Chester, Ohio; grandchildren, T. J., Kristine, and Jennifer Hatfield, Kimberly Damewood, and several nieces, nephews. and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003, in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Franklin offciating. Interment will follow in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday night with a Masonic Funeral to follow at 8 p.m. by the Stooksbury Masonic Lodge.
