PAYNE, ADAM JUSTIN - of Powell, TURPIN, ANNIE JO - age 91,of Oliver Springs, ===================================== JONES, BILL - age 68, of Lake City, Tenn. (Oak Grove Community), went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 3, 2003. He was of the Baptist Faith. He retired from CSX Railroad in 1992, where he had worked for 37 years. Bill loved music and was often heard singing and tapping his toes to old country favorites. He was a loving man who enjoyed the mountains, his family and friends, and a game of poker ever now and then. Let us all cherish his memory and be proud to have known him. Bill was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Nichole Jones; parents, Levi and Nannie Jones; sister, Bonnie Senters; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arnold and Jerri Anteau. Survivors: loving wife and companion for 23 years, Susan Jones of Lake City, Tenn., Toby and Lady, our beloved Labradors; daughter, Debbie Grinder and husband, Will of Lake City, Tenn.; sons, Jerry and wife, Kim Jones, Billy Jones and Terry Jones, all of Lake City, and Todd Jones of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; step children, Robert Allen Domagola of Temperce, Mich., Tammy Uher of Millburg, Ohio, Vicky Carson of Tantogany, Ohio; sister, Dessie Terrell of Corbin, Ky.; brothers, Hubert Jones of Corbin, Ky., Virgil Jones of Summerset, Ky., Gene Jones of Williamsburg, Ky.; brother-in-law, Jerry Anteau and wife, Diane of Maumee, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; one great- granddaughter, and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 6, 2003, from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, in Lake City. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 7, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. George Peace officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Harmon Cemetery in Lake City. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home, in Lake City, in charge of all arrangements. PAYNE, ADAM JUSTIN - of Powell, beloved father and son, was born January 27, 1974, and passed away June 3, 2003, at his home. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his great- grandparents, Al and Betty Payne. He is survived by his daughter, Baylee Julianna Payne of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; mother, Rebecca Payne of Powell, Tenn.; brother, Jonathan Payne of Powell, Tenn.; grandparents, Phil and Barbara Payne; special aunt, Sandra Payne, all of Knoxville, Tenn.; aunt, Patricia Lynn Stanton of Columbus, Ga.; special friend, Jill Robbins of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; special uncle, James K. Foust of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and several cousins, other relatives and friends. Graveside service 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Fairview Cemetery in Tazewell, Tenn., Rev. Scott Ketron officiating. Coffey Funeral Home, in charge. TURPIN, ANNIE JO - age 91, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Turpin was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Turpin; by three daughters, Betty Jo Turpin, Ida Francis Pride, and Mona Faye Turpin; by a son, Roy Allen Turpin, and by her parents, Samuel Wallace and Mattie Manuel Wallace. Mrs. Turpin was born May 17, 1912, in Anderson County. She was a former resident of the Wheat Community, having lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Orchard View Baptist Church. She won numerous medals in the Senior Games. She had years of dedicated service to the Senior Center and Council on Aging. She was a charter member of the Orchard View Quilters Group. Survivors: daughters, Sarah Kathryn Turpin of Oliver Springs, and Martha Alice Turpin of Oliver Springs; sons, Clarence Edward Turpin of Kingston, Herbert Lee Turpin and wife, Yoshiko of Woodlawn, Tenn., Charles Calvin Turpin, Jr. and wife, Janie of Harriman; grandchildren, Steve Pride, Michael Pride, Janie Sue Bnurris, and Charles C. Turpin III; great-grandchild, Dustin M. Pierce; sister, Bessie Strange of Knoxville; brothers, Bill Wallace and wife, Jean of Smithville, and Kenneth Wallace and wife, Irene of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Hazel Wallace of Knoxville. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Sharp Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at Orchard View Baptist Church, Friday, June 6, 2003, between the hours of 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, at the church, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Orchard View Cemetery.
