Rader, 63, of New Orleans, La., ===================================== Calvin K. Oliver, 37, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lorene and Matthew Bennett and Janie and Jake Beasley; an uncle, Willie Lee Oliver; and by a sister, Melissa Oliver. Mr. Oliver is survived by his mother, Annie Oliver of Benton Harbor, Mich.; his father, James Oliver and wife, Marie, of Battle Creek, Mich.; six brothers, Mitchell Lee Oliver, James Oliver and wife, Deirdre, and Michael Glenn and wife, Connie, all of Oak Ridge, Aaron Oliver and wife, Lucy, of Chattanooga, Lamar Oliver and Michael Oliver, both of Battle Creek; and by six sisters, Christine Oliver and Brenda Oliver, both of Battle Creek, Dana Smith of Clinton, ShaRhonda Glenn, Debra Glenn and Vivian Glenn, all of Benton Harbor. He is also survived by two aunts, Viola Oliver and Ernestine Johnson and husband, James, all of Oak Ridge; and by several nieces and nephews. Deborah Steen and Tawanna Mitchell, both of Oak Ridge, were considered special friends. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2003, at True Light Baptist Church, 3229 George Light Road, Knoxville, with Darris W. Waters officiating. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Weatherford Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Rex Alan Lowe, 44, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, May 30, 2003, in Harriman. Born Oct. 8, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Emma Oakes of Crossville and Kenneth William Lowe Sr., now deceased. Mr. Lowe was the owner and operator of The Lifters Club. He became rooted to the fitness needs of the Oak Ridge community in 1992, his family said, adding, he was determined to make The Lifters Club comfortable for the young, the old and the amateur, as well as the highly competitive fitness enthusiast. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps. To everyone who knew him and loved him, our lives will be forever changed, his family said. Rex will always remain an inspiration to us all. In addition to his mother, Mr. Lowe is survived by his daughter, Lecherisha Dawn Hall; his brother, Kenneth Wayne Lowe; his sister, Diana Lynn Lowe; and by his grandmother, Lois Oakes, all of Crossville. The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Central Standard Time Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville, with Mike Garrett and Robert Rainey officiating. The family requests any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Boys Club of Oak Ridge, P.O. Box 4021, Oak Ridge, TN 37831, or a Crossville area Boys Club, or to the American Heart Association, East Tennessee Region, 4708 Papermill Drive, Knoxville, TN 37909. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Robert Terence Dripps, 37, of Clinton, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. Born March 23, 1966, in Oak Ridge, he was the son of JoAnn Dripps and the late Robert E. Dripps Sr. He was a 1984 graduate of Oak Ridge High School and served two years in the U.S. National Guard. He was also former convenience store manager in Oak Ridge. Mr. Dripps was a Pentecostal. A half-sister, Beverly Lauderdale and a half-brother, Billy Lewis, also preceded him in death. In addition to his mother, Mr. Dripps is also survived by four half-brothers, one half-sister, one niece and one nephew. Luther Vinson and David Jeffers were considered special friends. The body was cremated. A private memorial service will be at a later date. The family requests that any memorials be in the form of contributions to The Hope Center, 1901 Clinch Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916 or ALSAC-St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38103. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home of Clinton is in charge of arrangements. David E. Rader, 63, of New Orleans, La., died Friday, May 23, 2003, at Cannon Hospice in Mercy Hospital in New Orleans, La. He was a native of Knoxvile and a resident of New Orleans since 1958. He was a retired merchant seaman and a parishioner of St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest J. Rader and a daughter, Tee Frances Rader Panarello. Mr. Rader is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anne McDaniel Rader; a son, David E. Rader Jr. of New Orleans; three daughters, Jody Rader Battaglia and Joyce Freiler Rader, both of New Orleans, and Anne Frazier Rader of Ocklawaha, Fla.; his mother and step-father, Frances and Howard Lee of Oak Ridge; and by two sisters, Vivian Mimbs and Sue Hamlett, both of Oak Ridge. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and by several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The funeral was Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at St. Louis Cathdral with the Rev. Kenneth Hedrick officiating. Burial was at Woodland Cemetery in Kentwood, La. The family requests that any memorials be made in the form of contributions to Cannon Hospice in Mercy Hospital, New Orleans, La.
