MABEL - age 79 of LaFollette \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ ELLIS, GRADY LaWHANE - age 30, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, February 1, 2004. He was born on July 23, 1973 in Oak Ridge. He was the son of Grady L. Ellis & Betty Slater James. He was self-employed. Grady was a man who wore a variety of hats, .Son, Father, Brother, Uncle & Cousins. He was a many of many talents and was loved by all. He enjoyed playing basketball, riding motorcycles & four wheelers. He was affectionately known as G$, World Wide, Big Youngster & Tripp. Grady lived life on the edge to its fullest. Grady was preceded in death by three grandparents, three uncles & three cousins. Survivors: parents, Grady Louis Ellis, Betty Slater James of Oak Ridge; son, GeQuan LaJai Anderson of Oak Ridge; brother, Vincent Alfonzo Jamal McMurrin of Phoenix, AZ; sister Ladeana Shanell Ellis of Oak Ridge; grandmother, Berline Ellis of Clinton; aunts,Beulah Love, Frances (Raymond Gray) Slater, Shirely Slater & Dorothy Slater all of Oak Ridge, Maxine (Willie) Davidson, Marcia (Lincoln) Barton, Jan (Jimmie) Wilson) all of Clinton; uncles,Willie (Penny) Slater & Charles (Vercilla) Ellis of Knoxville, Clarence (Erin) Ellis of Junction City, Kansas, Cleo (Faye) Ellis of Powell & Bryant (Dianne) Ellis of Clinton; great aunts,Hazel Moore & Theresa Atwater of Powell; great Uncle,Paul Ellis of Knoxville; several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins & friends; Special Brother,Shannon Porter of Oak Ridge; special friends, Ebony Anderson, Susanna McCanelly & Erin Young of Oak Ridge Shequitha Stewart of Knoxville. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 PM, Thursday, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with a memorial service following in the chapel with Reverend (Pete) Bradby officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements. MORRIS, MRS. MABEL - age 79 of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at St. Mary's Health & Rehabilitation Center of LaFollette. Preceded in death by: husband, Amos William Morris; brothers, Bill York, D. J. York; and sisters, Lillian Smiddy, and Katherine Fields. She was of member of Glade Springs Baptist Church, former President of Campbell County Democrat Club, Daughters of American Veterans, Christian Women's Club, and various other organizations. Survivors: daughter, Melissa Justice and husband Leon of LaFollette; son, Danny Morris and wife, Karen of Jacksboro; five grandchildren, Heather Justice of Johnson City, TN, Thomas Justice of Hilton Head Island, SC, Preston, Patrick and Blake Morris all of Jacksboro, TN; special niece raised as a daughter, Thelma Paul of Andersonville, TN; one brother, Edward York of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services Thursday 8 p.m. at Walters Chapel with Rev. Glen Petree officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday 10 a.m. at Campbell Memorial Gardens for interment. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday before services at Walters Funeral Home.
