IRENE "RAINEY" LOBERTINI - age 93 of LaFollette, WALLACE, EDNA MAE - //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ANDERSON, PEGGY - age 55, passed away at her home on January 9, 2004. She was a member of Solway United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Joseph C. Anderson, Jr.; daughter, Bonny Anderson Barnhart; twin sons, Joseph C. Anderson III and Andrew L. Anderson; daughter-in-law, Nora Grandle Anderson, all of Knoxville. The family will receive friends Monday 5 - 7 PM at Bearden United Methodist Church (4407 Sutherland Avenue); memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM. Arrangements by East Tennessee Mortuary Service. DOUGHERTY, RALPH COLE - age 90 of Norris, Tenn., passed away Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. Retired after 60 years of service from Sheet Metal Workers Local #5. Member of Nickelsville, Va. Masonic Lodge as a 32nd Degree Mason, member of Norris First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Rita Dougherty; daughter, Faye Wilson; granddaughter, Lori Carden; sisters, Jessie Owens and Orpha Dougherty; brothers, Fred and jack Dougherty; and his parents, Joseph and Savannah Mitchell. Survivors: daughters, Gaye and her husband, Ellis Carden of Clinton, Joy and her husband, Charlie Dabney of Clinton; son, J. Mitch Dougherty and his fiancé, Denise Miller both of Lake City; grandchildren, Tim and Lisa Sawyer, Jimmy Raines, Chris Dabney, Ralph and Sue Jackson, Barry Dabney, Tracy Chitwood, Scott Dabney, Jeffrey and Stacy Jackson and Joseph Dougherty; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Joe and his wife, Emily Dougherty of Tampa, Fla.; sister in law, Elsie Dougherty of Nickelsville, Va.; several nieces and nephews and a host of cousins; special friend, Vonette Wood of Norris, Tenn. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2004 with funeral services at 8 p.m. Rev. Darrell Griffis and Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating. Mr. Dougherty will be taken to Nickelsville, Va. on Tuesday and will lie in state 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Nickelsville United Methodist Church. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Holley- Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of arrangements. STRATTON, MRS. IRENE "RAINEY" LOBERTINI - age 93 of LaFollette, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2004, at St. Mary's Health and Rehabilitation Center of Campbell County. She was the eldest member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and was treasurer of the Catholic Women's Group for 40 years. Her family as Italian immigrants helped to build the first Catholic Church in LaFollette. She was preceded in death by husband, James L. Stratton; parents Giacinto Lobertini and Leonilda Ramello Lobertini; brothers Frank, Leo, and Lew Lobertini; sisters Caroline Lobertini, Margaret Guy, and Marie Burns. Survivors: daughter, Martha Ann Laxton and husband Gary; son James W. Stratton and wife, Jean; grandchildren Steve Stratton and wife, Becky, Barry Stratton and wife, Sabrina, Lee Ann Sharp and husband, Keith, Scott Laxton and wife, Tina, Amy Rutherford and husband, Richard, Great Grandchildren Stephanie Stratton, Leah and Courtney Stratton, Sarah and Seth Sharp, Matthew and Rainey Laxton, Tanner, Nolan and Grace Rutherford; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to St. Mary's Health and Rehabilitation Center for the loving care given to our loved one over the last six years. WALLACE, EDNA MAE - departed this life and entered eternal life on Friday, January 9, 2004 at St. Mary's Medical Center after a long illness. Mrs. Wallace had a precious mothering spirit which loved and cared deeply for everyone. She was a lifelong member of Redhill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Lilly Elliott Hill and a daughter, Patsy Ann Wallace and a brother, Delis Hill. Mrs. Wallace is survived by her loving husband, Archie Wallace whom she was to have celebrated their 56 wedding anniversary on Saturday, January 10, 2004. Mrs. Wallace is also survived by 4 sons, Tim and his wife, Kathy Wallace, Donny and his wife, Shannon Wallace, Lanny and his wife, Gwen Wallace, Ronnie and his wife, Kathy Wallace all of Andersonville, Tenn.; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Fletta and her husband, Cleo Crawford of Andersonville, Tenn. Family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2004. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2004 at Redhill Baptist Church. Interment will follow the funeral services in Redhill Cemetery. Rev. Kenny Bean and Rev. Terry Slover officiating.
