ELLIS Richard Keith Ellis, 44, of Oneida, passed away January 19, 2004, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Born March 21, 1958, he was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Charlene Boyatt Ellis; grandparents, Milford and Julia Ellis; and one uncle, Boyce Boyatt. He was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lissa West Ellis of Oneida; five children: Gregory Todd Smith and wife, Evie, of Germany; Michael Wayne Smith of Elgin, Jeremy and Joshua Smith, both of Oneida; and Amy Young and husband, Zack of Harrogate; one sister, Kim Goodman and husband, Donald, of Oneida; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Alvey and husband, Thomas; Carolyn Lewallen and husband, Randy, of Robbins; and Sharon Beach and husband, Albert, of Pioneer; mother- and father-in-law, Howard and Shirley West; grandmother, Laurie Boyatt of Oneida; and many other relatives. The family will receive friends January 23, from 6 - 8 p.m., in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with funeral service to be conducted at 8 p.m., with Rev. Billy Lowe officiating. Interment will be conducted at 10 a.m., January 24, in Abner Thomas Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
