B.G. - age 82 of Oakdale, WHITE, MARINETHA FOX - age 75, of Lake City, \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ COLLINS, SARA ELLEN LEE - 44, of Oliver Springs, died Sunday, January 25, 2004 at the Methodist Medical Center. She was born February 26, 1959 in Blount Co, the daughter of John Littleton Petty Jr and Allene Hudgins Petty. She was a homemaker and attended Trinity United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by: husband, Thomas Franklin Collins; sons, James Daniel Lee of Oak Ridge, John Cody Collins and Gregory Littleton Collins of Oliver Springs; daughters, Jessica Erin Southern of Oak Ridge, Tommie Marie Collins, Tracey Collins and Sidney Eva Irene Collins, all of Oliver Springs; brother, Walter Edmund Petty and his wife Cheryl of Kingston; and granddaughter, Bailey Elizabeth Lee of Buna, TX. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. Aldana Allen officiating. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to Trinity United Methodist Church, 320 Robertsville Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge. (www.weatherfordmortuary.com) DRAUGHN, REVA DEAN - age 74, of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on September 29, 1929, the daughter of the late Hobson and Ethel Thomas Stephens. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Oneida. Reva Dean was a Teacher who always loved her students. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, however, most importantly to Reva Dean and her family, she as was a child of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Chester Stephens. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ben H. Draughn, Jr. of Oneida; one daughter, Gail Denise Bash and husband, Alex, of Old Hickory, Tennessee; two sons, Danny Draughn and wife, Tonja, of Oneida and Randy Draughn; eight grandchildren, Jason, Michael, Jared, Latasha and Jessica Draughn, Aaron and Andrew Buttram and Benjamin Bash; one great-grandchild, Nick Draughn; one brother, Judson Stephens and wife, Earlene, of Ft. Myers, Florida; two sisters, Irene Becker of Richmond, Kentucky and Gail Owens and husband, Sherril, of Stearns, Kentucky. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and other relatives. The funeral service was held Monday, January 26, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Oneida. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Methodist Cemetery in Whitley City, Kentucky. The receiving of friends was Monday evening from 6:00 until time of the funeral service at 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Oneida. Jones & Son Funeral Home, Oneida, in charge. MITCHELL, HENCE, SR. - age 85, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Preceded in death by his parents, Sam Mitchell, Sr. and Florida Rigney Mitchell; two sons, Hence Mitchell, Jr. and Ellis Douglas Mitchell; two brothers, Dave Mitchell and Joe Mitchell; two sisters, Lillie Disney and Marybelle Mitchell. Hense was born February 14, 1918 in Anderson County. He was a life-long resident of this area. He was a retired Material Handler from Union Carbide after 30 years of service. He was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church. In addition, he served The City of Oliver Springs as a Council Member from 1983 to 1985. Survivors: wife of 61 years, Louella Goodman Mitchell of Oliver Springs; daughters, Barbara Tucker and husband, Archer, Brenda and Steve Jones and Debbie Green, all of Oliver Springs; sons, Steve Mitchell and wife, Liz, of Kingston, TN, Dennis Mtchell and wife, Robin, of Arlington, Texas and Gary Mitchell of Ten Mile, TN; grandchildren, Leslie Kendrick, Liesha Richardson and Paige Moore, all of Dayton, Ohio, Steven Mitchell and Chad Mitchell of Kingston, Melissa Collins, Steve Jones, Jr., Nicholas Green and Shawn Green, all of Oliver Springs, Amanda Thompson, Rodney Mitchell and Joshua Mitchell, all of Texas, Natachia Mitchell, Weston Mitchell and Loren Mitchell, all of Clinton; 21 great-grandchildren and a brother, Sam Mitchell, Jr. of Akron, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends, Mary Greer, Becky Morgan and Mack Green, all of Oliver Springs. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home, Pastor Garvan Walls and Rev. Ron French officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial and graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastford Cemetery in Oak Ridge. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. SMITH, MR. B.G. - age 82 of Oakdale, passed away January 26, 2004 at his home. He worked for Frito-Lay Company for thirty-eight years. He is survived by: his wife, Pauline Tilson Smith; children, Rhema and Ron Alley of Indiana, Bettye and James Coffman of Oakdale, Sandy and Johnny Goldston of Crossville, Bert Smith of Oakdale; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Maynard (Alice) Human. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, January 27, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. The funeral service will begin at 8 p.m. with Bro. Harry Garner and Bro. David Goodman officiating. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, 1 p.m. in Roane Memorial Gardens. WHITE, MARINETHA FOX - age 75, of Lake City, passed away Monday, January 26, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Ovas White; parents, Ray and Nellon Fox. Survivors: sons, Ervin White of Knoxville, David White of Powell and Robert Fox of Lake City; grandchildren, Christy McMillan and Nicholas White; great-grandchildren, Jordan Trentham, Christopher, Jacob and Jasmine McMillan; a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 28, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City. Graveside services will be Thursday, January 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell, Rev. James Lane and Rev. Lynn Mowery oficiating.
