    2. >From the Knoxville News Sentinel 13 Jan 2004 BRADEN, IRENE age 89, of the Laurel Grove Community, COOPER, MARY ELIZABETH - age 94, Clinton, TN., EBLEN, HELEN BAILEY - age 86, of Kingston, PAYNE, MARCUS COLE - age 16, of Clinton, //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// BRADEN, IRENE age 89, of the Laurel Grove Community, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2004 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was a member of Laurel Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her church very much. She liked to quilt and work in her garden. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Dewey Braden; son, Morris Lynn Braden; great great grandson, Zachary Thomas Arender; parents, Harvey & Sallie Belle Duncan Harness; sisters, Rhoda Harness, Mary Seiber; brothers, Odis, Elijah & Johnny Harness. Survivors: daughters, Minnie Byrge & husband, Tom, of Lake City, TN., Patricia Ann Russell & husband, Don, of Briceville, TN.; grandchildren, Millie J. Arender, Thomas A. Byrge, Jr., Donnella Russell, Shawn Russell & fiance, Pamela Lee, Katrenia Palmer, Basil Anthony (Tony) Braden, Twila Jacobsen, Byran (Todd) Braden & Travis Braden; 14 great grandchildren; & 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Ellen Parks & Gertrude Harness, both of Laurel Grove Community and Iona Parks of Petros, TN.; daughter-in-law, Sue Braden Saunders of Lake City, TN.; special friend, Bill Andrews of Clinton, TN.; host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 from 6 to 8 p.m at the Holley- Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Laurel Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Byrge and Rev. David White officiating. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at the Laurel Grove Church Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City in charge of all arrangements. COOPER, MARY ELIZABETH - age 94, Clinton, TN., passed away Monday, January 12, 2004 at Windwood Health Care Center in Clinton, TN. Member of Clinton Second Baptist Church for 65 yrs. Preceded in death by: her husband, Clarence "Red" Cooper; and a sister, Martha Callahan; and a brother, Jess Butcher; and parents, William and Mary Butcher. Survivors: son, Jack A. and his wife, Brenda Cooper of Clinton, TN.; daughter, Jean and her husband John Rhyne of Clinton, TN.; grandchildren, Stacy Cooper, Kimberly Woolf, Gordon Rhyne, Greg Rhyne, Cindy Pike, and Susan Zuckerman; great grandchildren, Audrey, Rachel, Veronicia, and Johnathanand Suzanna; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. George Williams officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Cemetery. EBLEN, HELEN BAILEY - age 86, of Kingston, passed away Sunday January 11, 2004 at the Rockwood Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was a graduate of Tennessee Weslyn College. She was a retired Roane County School teacher having taught at Lawnville, Midway and Roane County High School. She also worked as a secretary at K-25, Oak Ridge. A member of the Kingston United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Kingston Chapter #405 Order of the Eastern Star, member of the Roane County retired Teachers Association. She was the wife of the late Earl Loop, and the late Hooper Eblen. Preceded in death by: her parents Jim and Maude Bailey, and a sister Faye Bailey. Survivors include: sister, Lucille Johnson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral 7:30 p.m. Tuesday January 13, 2004 in the Kyker Chapel with Rev. Reed Shell officiating. Burial 11 a.m. Wednesday January 14, 2004 in Roane Memorial Gardens. A sophomore at Clinton High School. Marcus loved playing paintball. He was a loyal Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Braves fan. He leaves a multitude of friends. Survivors: parents, Mark and Martha Payne of Clinton; grandparents; Ernest and Laura Payne of Clinton, Pat and William McBryde of Clinton; great grandmother, Alma Graham of Jellico; uncles, Steve Payne of Clinton, Henry Hedden of Clinton, Don Hedden and wife Susan of Clinton; cousins, Heather Hedden of Knoxville, Brandon and Casey Payne of Knoxville, Cody Payne of Clinton and Richard Hedden of Georgia, special friends,Jesse Walker, Trey McLane, Travis Davis all of Clinton; many great aunts and great uncles.
