From The Oak Ridger 3 Nov 2005 Jean Beatrice Bach, 85, of Oak Ridge, Michael Lynn Daugherty, 37, of Wartburg, Billy J. McMillin, 52, of Oak Ridge, Jean Beatrice Bach, 85, of Oak Ridge, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, at NHC HealthCare of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Bach was born July 4, 1920, in Bridgeport, Conn., to the late Michael and Otero Pearl Meade Briar. Jean moved to Oak Ridge in February 2003 from Wilton, Conn., and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Stamford, Conn. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and had been a nurse for two private physicians for 25 years. She was a member of the Wilson Cove and Stamford Yacht Clubs and the International Order of Characters. She also enjoyed volunteering at the New Canaan Thrift Shop, arts and crafts, reading, and playing cribbage and bridge. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John Bach; a sister, Dorothy DeLucca; and a daughter-in-law, Sally Bach. Jean is survived by her son, Gary Roy Bach of Rowayton, Conn.; daughter-in-law Jill Bach of Groton Long Point, Conn.; two daughters and their husbands, Bonnie and Joseph Maris Connor Sr. of Centreville, Md., and Cindy and James Everett Crane Jr. of Redding, Conn.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Connor Godbey, Kara Jean Hensley, Joseph Maris Connor Jr., John William Connor, James Everett Crane III, Whitney Meade Crane, and Griffin Reed Bach; one great-granddaughter, Oliva Ryan Hensley; and 18 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Michael Woods officiating. Michael Lynn Daugherty, 37, of Wartburg, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Wartburg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Daugherty; and grandparents, Carl and Delcie Vickers and Charlie and Luada Daugherty. Michael is survived by his wife, Denise Daugherty; daughter, Talesha and son, Trey; father, Julian Daugherty and Connie Patterson of Coalfield; sisters, Michelle Fisher of Knoxville and Angie (and Keith) Lively of Coalfield; nieces and nephews, Carley and Ben Fisher and Hailey Lively; special aunt, Carol Daugherty; and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services will begin at 8 p.m. with Bro. Don Hunter officiating. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in Liberty Cemetery. Billy J. McMillin, 52, of Oak Ridge, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005.
