From the Oak Ridger 16 Nov 2005 Paul Douglas "Chief" Browning, 60, a resident of Oliver Springs, Francis Kam, 76, of Oak Ridge, Clifford "Cliff" Snow, 72, of Oak Ridge, formerly of Tulare County, Calif. Margaret Webb, 74, of Clinton, Paul Douglas "Chief" Browning, 60, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at his home. He was born Feb. 16, 1945, in Raven, Va. Chief retired from the X-10 plant in Oak Ridge after working 30 years. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, hunting, boating and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Browning, and one sister, Christina Browning. He is survived by a daughter, Tina Browning Rauhuff of Powell; grandsons, Stephen Shane Rauhuff, Tony Aaron Rauhuff, and Adrian Paul Rauhuff; a brother, Jerry Hurley of Kentucky; sisters, Joyce Dotson of Kentucky, and Juanita May of Varnville, S.C.; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rodney Marlow, Pat Kelly, Ray Bolden, and Hubert C. Booker. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at Sharp Funeral Home with funeral service following the visitation at 8 p.m. in the chapel with Captain Bill McKinley officiating. Burial and graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Clinton. Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs is in charge of all the arrangements. Francis Kam, 76, of Oak Ridge, passed away Nov. 15, 2005. He was a scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for more than 20 years and made significant contributions to the American Society for Testing and Materials. He also made important contributions to various international activities sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission. His work enabled him to meet many interesting people and make friends around the world. He enjoyed tennis, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen; and a brother, Alfred. Survivors include his wife, Gerry Kam; daughter, Janine Kam-Lal and son-in-law Rajinder Lal; daughter, Katrina Kam; son, Carl Kam; grandchildren, Zarin, Zubin, and Navi Lal; sister, Bessie Kam; brother, Ben Kam; father, Yun Fong Kam; many other relatives and friends. Cremation was performed; there will be no memorial services or visitation. Clifford "Cliff" Snow, 72, of Oak Ridge, formerly of Tulare County, Calif., and Orland, Calif., went to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 14, 2005. Cliff was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship in Oak Ridge, where he served as a Deacon and AWANA Commander. He was retired from Terminix Pest Control with 26 years of service. He was a member of the Handyman Club of America. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Irene Snow; and a brother, Neil Snow. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Peggy Haskins Snow; sons, Michael and Paul of Southern Calif., David and Daryl Snow of Oak Ridge; daughters, Valerie and Victoria; several grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel, followed by funeral services at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Chris Bunn officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Friday at Fortners Chapel Cemetery in Sweetwater for graveside services. Margaret Webb, 74, of Clinton, passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, William and Helen Miller; and her mother, Rose Brewster Miller; one daughter, Lee Helen Phillips; her sister, Betty Lou Cheeks; and her brother-in-law, Jackie Webb. She is survived by her husband, Albert Webb of Clinton; one son, Albert Eugene Webb; one daughter, Pamela Lively and husband Roy of Vonore; five grandchildren, Regina Lively, Melinda Hatfield, both of Loudon, Wesley Webb, Carrie Phillips of Clinton, and Amanda Smith and husband Tim of Claxton; and by eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Webb is also survived by a loving sister-in-law who was also her best friend, Gwen Cole of Clinton. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Webb was a retired licensed practical nurse from Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was a member of Glory Way Baptist Church in Clinton, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary No. 2514 in Oak Ridge, and served as past Tennessee state president of Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mrs. Webb enjoyed making flower arrangements. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at Oliver Springs Mortuary. The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Nov. 16, 2005, in the chapel of the Oliver Springs Mortuary with the Rev. Michael Phillips officiating. Burial will be private on Thursday at the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville.
