From the Knoxville News Sentinel 17 Nov 2005 KAM, FRANCIS - age 76 of Oak Ridge, LEACH, REV. RALPH - age 77 of LaFollette SMITH, ROY E. JR., "RODNEY" - age 44 of Heiskell, SNOW, CLIFFORD (CLIFF) - age 72 of Oak Ridge, KAM, FRANCIS - age 76 of Oak Ridge, passed away November 15, 2005. He was a scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for 30+ years and made significant contributions to the American Society for Testing and Materials. He also made important contributions to various international activities sponsored by the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission. His work enabled him to meet many interesting people and make friends around the world. He enjoyed tennis, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Preceded in death by: mother, Ellen; brother, Albert. Survivors: wife, Gerry Kam; daughter, Janine Kam-Lal and son-in-law Rajinder Lal; daughter, Katrina Kam; son, Carl Kam; grandchildren, Zarin, Zubin, and Navi Lal; sister, Bessie Kam; brother, Ben Kam; father, Yun Fong Kam; many other relatives and friends. Cremation was performed; there will be no memorial services or visitation. LEACH, REV. RALPH - age 77 of LaFollette passed away November 14, 2005 at his home. He was a member of Ford Town Baptist Church. Mr. Leach had been an ordained minister for 42 years having pastored several churches in this area. He had a radio broadcast for 30 years. Preceded in death by father and mother: Rev. Harrison and Pearl Bruce Leach. Survived by wife: Alice Leach of LaFollette; son and daughter-in-Law: David and Betty Leach of LaFollette; daughter and son-in-law: Deanna and Scoby Asbury of Jacksboro; brothers: JB and Bill Leach both of LaFollette; sisters: June James of Chattanooga, Jewell Winstead of LaFollette, Evelyn Bailey of Speedwell, Margie Ford of Speedwell; grandchildren: Lynn Leach and Cindy Pierce; great grandchildren: Carly and Alex Leach and Chloe Pierce. Pallbearers: Marvin Ford, Jimmy Mack Pierce, Roger and Greg Leach, Donny and Chris Perry. Honorary Pallbearers will be ministers of the area. Funeral services will be 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Ford Town Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Dupuy, Rev. Don Reynolds and Rev. Alvis Richardson officiating. Interment will be 11:00 AM Thursday in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday night at the church before funeral services. JR., "RODNEY" - age 44 of Heiskell, after a courageous battle with cancer, went home to be with the Lord, on November 15, 2005. He was employed by Harrison Construction for 13 years. Preceded in death by: brother, Randall Eugene Smith. Survivors: loving wife of 25 years, Jackie Smith of Heiskell; son, Roy E. Smith III; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Josh Ayers; as close as sons, Airman Randall E. Smith Jr., Michael D. Smith; parents, Roy and Juanita Smith; sisters & brothers-in-law, Debbie and Robert Taylor, Ginger and Bill Longley; a host of nieces and nephews. SNOW, CLIFFORD (CLIFF) - age 72 of Oak Ridge, formerly of Tulare County, CA and Orland, CA, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 14, 2005. Cliff was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship in Oak Ridge, where he served as a Deacon and AWANA Commander. He was retired from Terminix Pest Control with 26 years of service. He was a member of the Handyman Club of America. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Irene Snow; brother, Neil Snow. Survivors: wife of 34 years, Peggy Haskins Snow; sons, Michael and Paul of Southern CA, David and Daryl Snow of Oak Ridge; daughters, Valerie and Victoria; several grandchildren and a great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel followed by funeral services at 7 p.m. with Rev. Chris Bunn officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Friday at Fortners Chapel Cemetery in Sweetwater for graveside services.
