Bolling, age 85, of Clinton, Martha Virginia Menard Boyd, age 82, Rebecca Ray Wallace Collins, age 51, of Clinton, Bim Creel Burnham, age 72, a resident of Kingston, Eleanor Kelsey, of Clinton, David O. Bolling, age 85, of Clinton, passed away at his home on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006. Born in Savannah, Ga., he was a graduate of Norris High School, attended the University of Tennessee, and proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps as a gunner on long range bombers during World War II. Upon returning to the area, he entered the automobile business, and as owner of Morris-Bolling Ford, in Clinton, he served as president of the Ford Dealers National Association. Mr. Bolling was a member of Clinton First Baptist Church, the first president of the former Clinton Jaycees, and served as chairman of the board of the former Oak Ridge Hospital. Beginning a second career of public service to the people of Anderson County, he served as executive director of Melton Hill Regional Industrial Development Association before being elected county executive in 1978, a position he proudly served in for 20 years. He was currently serving his first term on the Anderson County Commission. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Bolling; and sisters, Sara Jo Mazur and Carolyn Seargant. Survivors include his brother, Landrum Bolling of Indiana; son, David Bolling and wife Jennifer; daughters, Jamie Jones and husband Steve, and Jackie Brown; grandchildren, Carter Bolling, and Katie, Steven, and Ben Jones, all of Clinton. And, he was anxiously awaiting the birth of his new granddaughter, Caroline Bolling. In addition, he counted his blessings with the many friendships that he cherished throughout this life. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Clinton with funeral services following in the chapel with the Rev. Don Thomas and the Rev. Sam Dean officiating. His interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sartin Cemetery with full military honors at graveside. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements. Martha Virginia Menard Boyd, age 82, died Jan. 23, 2006, at home following a long and valiant battle with cancer. Martha was born on Aug. 14, 1923, at Nady, Ark., to Julian and Bessie Menard. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lutie Anderson. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles M. Boyd; brother, James Menard; daughter, Rebecca Boyd Zirkle and her husband James Harold Zirkle; son, Charles Ray Boyd; son, Larry Martin Boyd and his wife Beverly Goins Boyd; and grandchildren, Elizabeth and Isabel Boyd. Martha graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College in 1946, married and moved to Oak Ridge, Tenn., in 1950. She worked for 17 years at Woodland Elementary School in Oak Ridge, as both an office aide and a teacher's aide. She was a longtime member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and member of the United Methodist Women's Society. Her love and devotion to her children led her to volunteer as a Cub Scout Leader and a Camp Fire Girls Leader while her children were young. Martha had a deep love for nature and enjoyed hiking and camping well into her retirement years. She always carried a camera along to record the beauty she found in mountain landscapes, wildlife and wildflowers. Her self-taught photography talent was well-recognized and resulted in her work being exhibited, published and sold. A particular photographic interest of hers was hummingbirds and their young. She also produced beautiful watercolor paintings of some of her favorite photos. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, at noon at Kern Memorial United Methodist Church, 451 East Tennessee Ave., in Oak Ridge, Tenn., with the Rev. Mark Flynn officiating. In lieu of flowers, Martha requested that memorials be made to Kern Memorial United Methodist Church or a charitable organization of the donor's choice. Inurnment will take place in Conway, Ark. Cremation Options in Knoxville is in charge of arrangements. Rebecca Ray Wallace Collins, age 51, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Wallace and Dorothy King Phillips; and sister, Teresa (Terry) Knott. Rebecca was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt, and will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Collins of Clinton, Tenn.; daughters, April Collins of Clinton, Tenn., and Bristy Collins of Clinton, Tenn.; stepson, Bobby Collins Jr. and wife Angie of Maynardville, Tenn.; granddaughter, Jolie Collins, daughter of Bristy, of Clinton; step granddaughters, Kayla and Alyssa Collins of Maynardville, Tenn., daughters of Bobbie Jr. and Angie; brother, James Adkins and wife Allison of Seattle, Wash.; sisters, Mary Sauls and husband Bill of Halls, Tenn., and Tracy Justice and husband Robbie of Oliver Springs, Tenn.; nieces and nephews, Michael (Toby) Powell, and Stephanie Powell, and Greg Lawson and wife Charaty; great-nieces and great-nephews, Jordan, Marissa, Camden, Jaylen, Micheala, Lexie, Austin, Kara, Brandon, and Jenna. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Ralph Wilson officiating.
