    2. From The Oak Ridger 2 Jan 2006 Troy Davis Martin, age 83, of Clinton, Marie P. Mefford, age 79, of Harriman, Eunice Kempe Reynolds, 99, of Oak Ridge, Willie Frank Kirk, 61, of Oak Ridge, Troy Davis Martin, age 83, of Clinton, passed away Friday, December 30, 2005, at his residence. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and a member of East Laport Masonic Lodge in Cullowhee, N.C. Troy was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He is preceded in death by wife, Birdell Martin; his parents, John and Julia Green Martin; sisters, Maude Watts and Annie Henry; and brothers, John Martin Jr. and Charles Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Rayborn and husband, Cecil, of Kingston; his grandchildren, Randy Rayborn and wife, Melissa, of Kingston, and Robin Jarman and husband, Kortney, of Knoxville; his great-granddaughter, Katie Rayborn of Kingston; his sisters, Mabel Hensley of Sylva, N.C., and Glenna Green of Washington; a very special brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Martha Craft of Clinton; and by several nieces and nephews. Troy will have a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2005, with the funeral following in the chapel of Holley Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Thompson and the Rev. George Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the Masonic service. His burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodhaven Memorial Garden. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements. Marie P. Mefford, age 79, of Harriman, passed away Friday, December 30, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Rowland and husband, Mike, of Oak Ridge; her grandson, Michael Honeycutt and wife, Karen, of Knoxville; great-granddaughters, Ansley Honeycutt and Reagan Honeycutt, both of Knoxville; her sisters, Naomi Childs of Harriman and Margaret Kelly of Oakdale; and her brother, Ramon Phillips and wife, Audrey, of Harriman. The funeral was held at 4 p.m. Sunday January 1, 2006, at Kyker Funeral Home chapel in Harriman with the Rev. Nolan Moore officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Jonesville Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday at Kyker Funeral Home chapel Harriman. Eunice Kempe Reynolds, 99, of Oak Ridge, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2005, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. Reynolds was born August 9, 1906, in DeSoto, Mo., to John Frederick Kempe and Florence Hamilton Kempe. She moved to Oak Ridge in 1945, where she was a member of the first all-women's heavy duty rescue squad. Mrs. Reynolds was a personnel manager for Miller's Department Store for a number of years, and also sold real estate and insurance in Oak Ridge. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge in DeSoto for 50 years. She was a talented pianist who performed on riverboats and played in the band for the St. Louis Cardinals. She wrote "Blue and Oh So Lonely," sung by Bing Crosby. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William L. Reynolds; a son, William F. Donnell; a sister, Mildred Kempe Mahn; and nephews, Phil and Bernie Mahn. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Donnell Argo of Oak Ridge; a stepson, William Reynolds Jr. of Medina, Ohio; grandchildren, William F. Argo and wife, Judy, of Johnson City, Robert W. Argo and wife, Janice, of Oak Ridge, Jan Yates and husband, Keith, of Johnson City; three great-grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth and Kirstie Nicole Woodby of Johnson City and Abby Elizabeth Argo of Austin, Tex. Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2005, at Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. E.C. Vestal officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in DeSoto, Mo. Tuesday, January 3, 2006. An online memorial guestbook may be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com. Willie Frank Kirk, 61, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, January 1, 2006, at his home.
