Sylvester Phillips, 73, of Norma, Tenn., passed away Sunday Jan. 19, 1969. He was a retired railroad employee and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Hulda Anderson Phillips; sons, Lawton and Finley of Norma, Buster of West Liberty, Ky., Glen of Huntsville; daughter, Mrs. Ruth Hollman of Nashville; brothers, John of Caryville, Lewis of Huntsville; six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, 11 a.m. from the Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Bryd officiating. Burial followed in the Smokey Junction Cemetery.
