From The Oak Ridger 26 Jan 2006 Sarah Park "Sadie" Clary, 74, of Oak Ridge, Ronson Mitchell, age 50, a resident of Oliver Springs, Sarah Park "Sadie" Clary, 74, of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, at NHC HealthCare Center. She was born Jan. 26, 1931, in Benton, Tenn., the daughter of James Madison Park and Mamie Million Park, and moved to Cleveland, Tenn., in 1940. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. In 1956, she married Thomas LaFayette Clary Jr., and moved to Oak Ridge, where her husband owned and operated Downtown Hardware Company. She had served as president of the company since Mr. Clary's death in 1981. Mrs. Clary retired from the Oak Ridge school system, Jefferson Junior High School, where she taught seventh and eighth grade English from 1970 until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Roger Park. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Thomas L. Clary III and wife Deborah, and Roger Park Clary and wife Sondra; daughter, Ann Bratton and husband Tom, all of Oak Ridge; brother, Willis Park and wife Sarah of Cleveland, Tenn.; grandchildren, Courtenay Clary, Christopher Clary, Caitlin Clary, Leanne Clary, Thomas Bratton and Chandler Bratton, all of Oak Ridge; nephews, Jim Park of Cleveland, Tenn., and Douglas Park and wife Cheryl of Nashville, Tenn.; great-nieces, Sarah Jane Park, a student at UT Knoxville, and Taylor Park of Nashville; and great-nephew, Hobie Park of Nashville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Jim Park, Douglas Park, Frank Marsh, Kelly Range, Matthew Range, Jim Normand, Bobby Green and Joe Williams. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Oak Ridge Public School Education Foundation, PO Box 117, MS-22, Oak Ridge, TN 37831, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
